Oh Boy, What a week.

this is very interesting, because they didn't get the money, but someone put like $20,000 in right at the end so i would so the production company or timmy put the money in..but no haven't contacted him about working on it hey
Well I have faith that if we can all see how awesome you are, someone in high places in the industry will too!

geez the amount of money 9 has they should have been paying you! what a joke.. but don't let them forget you, in my experience 9 usually hire within their workers families and partners. Its a very incestuous place.

Sincerely Wow! :wideyed:

Such dedication! :woot: Keep it up and you should get somewhere. Seems it's one of those fickle industries where you just have to keep breaking the doors down.

Have you thought about/done any 'community FTA television' ?

OMG don't do radio! Who the hell listens to radio these day? Well I don't, but I'm sure other people do, but new media is where everything is headed.. In my car I either have on a podcast or music... The internet is the future, fuck old media.

Totally unrelated topic but @Luke Blundell has anybody told you that you're a dead ringer for Stephen Curry.

Print is slowly dying and live radio is not far behind it. Online is the way to go if you can make it work for you.

Hamish and Andy just got a $4m contract each to do 2 hours of radio a day.

Seems pretty healthy to me

That is true, but Hamish and Andy are more than just radio stars and they were the most popular duo on at a certain time for years... looks to me that the powers that be are trying to throw money at them, hoping that they will deliver when it comes to the ratings.

You shuld do a podcast, @Luke Blundell. First you can start talking about Big Brother, then you can move into more serious stuff like overseas conflicts and geo-political tensions. Then you can start smoking a cigar, a fine cuban cigar, and you can go "The way I see it...", then you would start coughing terribly, and you would go to the doctors, and the doctor would tell you to stop smoking, but you say that an anonymous internet poster advised you to do it, and the doctor say that that's stupid, so you agree to quit, but quitting is so hard when you live next to a cigar factory, so you decide to blow the cigar factory up, but you don't know how to that, so you google it, but googling it gets you arrested and you land in jail.

And the rest of the radio community? They only got that ridiculous amount because 2DayFM lost listeners this year with Kyle & Jackie O moving to another station and Jules Lund, Sophie Monk and Merrick Watts failed to relate to their target audiences.

For anyone who works in the media or is a journalist will know it's a tough industry. A lot of radio hosts are on year contracts only and it's very hard to secure full-time positions. They have to go where the work takes them.

Now the ABC is making major cut backs too and closing a few of their rural stations down too.

So please don't think that because Hamish & Andy are bringing in the big bucks that it's a growing industry - it's not.

I had a day conference in Sydney & flew Virgin down & Jetstar back ------- Virgin won by a country mile, however coming back on Jetstar I sat next to the hottest German backpacker AND....................
I can only handle flying Deathstar for an hour flight max.
