Official: Big Brother renewed for 2026

Here are the main things I’m hoping they implement for the new season:
A Minimum 8-Week Run:
We need a longer season to really let the house dynamics unfold.
A Weather-Proof Live Stage:
Build a proper roof over the stage! If they did that, I’d actually consider attending a live show.
Late Year Premiere:
Kick the season off towards the end of August or early September.
A Brand New House:
And just like the stage, the house needs a proper roof too.
Premium Live Feeds:
Offer a paid subscription tier for constant, 24/7 live streaming strictly no ads and zero audio mutes. Let us see everything!

That's all I ask!

I thought that was an odd omission but didn't read anything into it. One would think the agreement with Dreamworld is for more than just a single season.

(Or perhaps that's why it felt like last year's Dreamworld bumpers consumed more air time than all the DW mentions across OG Ch10 and Ch9 seasons combined 🙃).

Just imagine..: "Eviction voting is open for the next 25 minutes. Only AEDT states and territories can vote due to the time difference. Lines are closed or rather were never open in Qld, SA, NT and WA." 🤨
 
The only thing that will save the season is if they somehow luck into getting a really good cast aka 2013. For sure they need to be a little more ambitious compared with last years lot. Casting some people between the ages of 32 and 45 unlike last year might help and not every 'older' housemate has to be some sort of Trump loving weirdo either.

I don’t remember Dreanworld being mentioned each year renewal in the OG 10 era though. I wouldn’t read too much into it. Though I do wonder if the fact that they weren’t happy with the space for the last season, or the crew availability/capabilities was harder to get than to have it in Sydney?
I guess we will see !

Easiest way to find out would be to check Dreamworld's socials and see if they mention it, no?
 
Mel’s BBAU Update on The Cheap Seats
Mel mentioned on The Cheap Seats tonight that she actually doesn't know much about the new season. She isn't sure if it's heading back to Dreamworld, and even joked that she doesn't know if she's returning as host or not! 😆
Off to a great start, Channel 10.
 
Still nothing from Dreamworld's socials... Seems sus.

Also, if there wasn't discussion behind the scenes about not going back to Dreamworld - you'd think Mel would've shut that shit down pretty quickly on The Cheap Seats. Would be a bit weird to not stamp that out if it were already locked in as returning there.
