Nikki Grahame has died

Couldn't Nikki afford to pay for her own treatment in South Africa.
 
Presumably not, but I also think the fundraiser was partly about getting the issue into the public domain too - not to raise awareness but to stop it being a secret, for the benefit of both Nikki and those around her.

Interesting too that Pete didn't feature in the documentary - Imogen did some interviews last weekend where she accused him of basically using the situation to draw attention to himself having not been a close friend of Nikki's for a long time, though we'll never really know if that is a fair assessment and I think even a lapsed friend would want to help.
