New Off Topic Thread ..... (Everyone: please be nice)

Broadly, the demos are important because thats how the advertisers buy TV airtime - at the most basic level according to buiding reach and frequency with their target audience ...to achieve commercial campaign objectives that relate to broader brand and marketing objectives e.g. market share, sales, brand awarness, image, intention to purchase etc.

For large corporate advertisers (banks, auto, telco, fmcg etc.) annual contracts are negotiated for the delivery of eyeballs and based on projected annual ad spends. Better rates offered for a one station buy, versus two or three station. TV used to be the 'be all and end all' for mass market advertising but not any more with media fragmentation thats led to declining FTA audiences etc.

You made me feel intimidated and threatened when you attacked me on the thread, and I couldn’t sleep last night

You couldn’t sleep last night? You should not be on a forum if you are so sensitive and cannot handle criticism. Constantly pulling the victim card you are.
