Neighbours Discussion Thread

I read that the producers aren't leaving it there as they are convinced someone else will pick it up.
I haven't heard about this. As Theorist said, everything has been sold off, destroyed, and given away, so I can't see how the show can come back from this.

A possible spin-off is the only thing I can think of that may work. I'm not sure in what capacity, though.

It really feels like the end for me as the revival had a chance to turn things around but failed to deliver.

I hope the final episode is better than the one they did in 2022.

I don't know. I think I hear it on channel ten midday news show when they were announcing it's final demise.
Here, it's a bit of a huge link, but it's the wole page from google search:

Not such a huge link. Google condensed it :)

I can confirm this is indeed the end of the road for the show, at least for the indefinite foreseeable future.

I reckon its coming back, under a different name with the left over actors, in the new street/area they ard trying to push.
Im still watching thd finale. My mind is wandering, and I keep having to rewind. Not a good sign.

Okay another pause. Who's this bloke who's becoming a bee keeper?
Edited: Mackenzie's partner? Ive forgotten who he is!

That was Byron Stone (Sadie's ex). His appearance with the new moustache and beard certainly made him look like a new character. 😄

It still blows my mind Xavier got the Neighbours gig after BB2020.

I think the chat Annalise had with Susan was a little nod to the viewers that things may not be over just yet. 😉 I wasn't expecting that to be honest.

I hope we get a spin-off if that's the case.

I realised later on who he was. I just didn't get back here to say that.
What about Lucas with the big beard, I only recognised him because he always wears that jacket!

Same here. I reckon it will happen.
I found the whole episode rather underwhelming.
The filming, too, seemed to make it all look so ancient, or was that just my imagination?

Lucas looked so old with the beard. I'm not a fan of it.

I swear Lucas never took that jacket off during his stint on the show. 😆

The episode seemed too overloaded with past and and present characters. I get the premise but it kind of ruined it for me. It had a similar vibe to the 2022 finale.

I would have preferred a different ending for the show. Something more original.

Lots of easter eggs dropped in for nostalgic reasons. It was kind of cute the banter between Paul and Shane talking about their fathers.

The cliffhanger with Paul, Karl and Susan in the middle of cul-de-sac discussing what lies ahead with the future of the neighbours, gave me hope (most probably false) they'll fight to stay on Ramsay Street (though technically it's a cul-de-sac as Sam rightly pointed out during one episode 😁).

Let's see if Ramsay Hills or Robinson Towers will be the spin-off shows???
