Mikkayla Appreciation Thread

the sound of her voice annoys the shit out of me but i like her.
carries herself well despite obvious animosity from some housemates.

was hoping she'd take Ben into the captains room though
 
Visiting to say respect. Honestly, the way that girl puts up with everything and still stays positive and honest. I am glad she won and I understand her choice in Ben but I do wish she took him into the room and not Heidi. I really think that when Heidi leaves and looks back she is going to see the truth and I hope she feels like the terrible person she is, it really broke my heart to heart mik talk about Heidi like that. I am sorry for her that she will be disappointed when she see's everything. Mik showed she was the better person, which says a lot about her because I really wish she didnt lol. She is strong and personally I would WANT my kids to be learning from someone who can put them in their place if needed and is KIND and smart.

You go girl! You might not be my fav house mate in there but your on my list of liked which is better then dont care and dont like. ;)

yes it takes a lot of strength to put up with the sore losers but she rose above it all. I think it may be strategic to take Heidi into the PS to keep her enemy close. She did nominate Heidi remember. That's the only thing I can think of as to her reasoning as it's not like she suddenly likes Heidi again. Unless they have since made up?
 
Even though I love her feisty aspect and her ability to endure what she does with a generally positive attitude, I do wonder sometimes about her willingness to accept a lowly position. She seems to acquiesce to the view she wouldn't be that liked by the public, she seems willing to accept and even go along with the racial cracks that are being made, and she just accepts all the back handed comments she gets from Heidi and Tahan, and continues to look up to them. I'm not sure what to think about it really.
 
Yeah I know, I hate watching it. I think she is just trying to make the most and not let it get to her. You see the hurt on her face when it happens so its not like she is not noticing it. I hope she is just letting it slide rather then not thinking highly about herself or being used to it. She seems to speak up when she wants too, maybe just smart about picking her battles??

Yeah, I saw how she was affected when Tahan said she'd take her through to the end only because she thought she could beat her. I hope you're right.

I agree, sort off. She has on a few occasions openly stated 'well I'm not changing who I am' and has been openly basking in being saved again (as she should IMO). I think she knows she won't be liked or respected by some as she should/wants to be and so her strength (and retaliation) is to refuse to be brow beaten or down in dumps etc ...... I imagine that if she did call people out of more things she knows it would cause conflict that would never truly get resolved and so she has concluded to just let everyone show their colours and trust the public to decide.....I accept I could be a bit naive on this one,

Something about her I really like. A blend of sweet and feisty (and of course not perfect) that is working for me

Could be something in that, it took Heidi the ringleader out of circulation, and into the PS.

If so, Mikk is one strong person. Strength of character, I think that's one of the things people are responding to in Mikkayla.
 
Not always likeable and definitely has her flaws but I really admire her strength of character and refusal to be intimidated by the bullying behavior of housemates like Heidi and Tully.
The intense dislike for her from a large sector of the house is palpable at times, especially when she won last Games day.
They treat her like shit and try to make her feel she's unworthy of winning or even being there.

Nice to think she will get her own back by outlasting all of those who look down on her and give her such a hard time.

And I love her relationship with the charming Mr Clooney - so sweet.
