Memories of Big brother 1 and todays BB promos

I agree that the promos that Nine produce aren't as great as the Channel Ten days, but I think you're missing the point of why. The old ones were always much more directly related to the show i.e. Gretel quizzing BB on what the twist was, Gretel having a press conference and hiding the twist, whereas Nine's adds have been mostly metaphors, i.e. an invisible house in the middle of the street that only certain people can enter, or a ring and football goal posts that can twist, or Noah's ark.

Also Nine are terrible at making graphics, have you seen '12 and '13's opening titles?

The what metaphor ? is this big brother promo or are they pretending it is because one thing is diferent then a reality tv show itself. Years back it used to be plain simple.. cost less effective and yet here we go channel 9 saying they are under a budget but they still throw all that precius money on promos that contains full of graphics an sound effect and hiring actors into it. More spending for something that simply does not look like the big brother promotion.... the storms what is that has anything to do with the show... whats with the ship has anything to do with the show ? Whats with the wind and the rain and the sea has anything to do with the show ? big brother house i last recall is an interior house set up.. not out into the sea and beyond.

Oh yes miss... terrible graphics done... big bold letters just like they always do with the BLOCK programe big huge bold letter covers with graphics and sparkling effects over it.. seriously why cant they make a real simple promo rather then so much sound effects and graphics on big giant letters ?

Yes the title of the big brother promo looks dreadfull. Only young people dont understand so for them they see it new and spectacular... but they dont no how good it used to ones be in the past :) thats like saying do young people even now what is a vhs machine ?

its a shame channel 9 simply does not kno how to make the real big brother show..... perhaps channel 9 should had got nice ideas that channel ten used to had.

No uplate shows
No adult bb show
No webcam online bb
No live shows on tv bb

What more is a no ? well channel 9 simply gets wasted by doing stupid promos and then they end up crying saying they are on crisis for spending to much stuff that was not necessary... graphics and effects cost alot of money. they could make things simple.

What does a clown have to do with eating hamburgers and fries?

Promos don't always have to be directly related. It's just designed to create a bit of hype and excitement for the show. Everyone watching knows that the sea of graphics is just that, and that the ad is using actors.

Not all the times... thats like saying if KFC wants a KFC promo.. its not like they going to create some hype and excitement by showing swiss mountans that has uosolute not relatred to KFC products... so the same with big brother promos... i yet have to see the actual real big brother promos... the real thing not some (random) they would not be spending thousands of dollars to do a random bb promo that half the time doesnt seem related to the actual show itself... there goes all that money been wasted.

Yeah prob a fake island made with graphics.. typical visual effects channel 9 always does... First big brother house is not in nsw... its not in a island.. nor its a boat or a ship like they seem to show on the promo. Nor is at the sea at all far away from the sea it seems... Last time i remember the big brother is an actual set up house not a ship like they seem to describe it on the promo lol.

The metaphor is that the house is going to be 'stormy'. Obviously not real storms from the sky, but obviously tumultuous in the gameplay / relationships etc. Does that make sense to you?

Yes but people preffer the real thing not roleplays of games such as that with the storm... i rather see the real themselfs in a real big brother house :-) what more would someone wants to include.. I rather see it pure simple. Without the gameplay and all course thats all roleplay for other diferent type shows in the universe.

I don't want to see the real people in the real big brother house until the show starts.

I last remember that the actual big brother show was meant to be more kept in the house with less roleplay game plays..... putting too much gameplays into this reality show makes it less big brother show.... the actual bb show was meant to know what the hosuemates do.... not see them play a gameplay... i rather see it simple and nature... its why bb should also get rid of the hair str8ners and any hair dryers...... Damn the bb shows in the past was way simple and better.

Yep I want to see these female HM with horrible hair, straight hair or dry hair is so annoying to look at.
 
soon the actual bb will dye off... unfortunally... and sorry to say but theres been too much debates and more and more people are growing older out of this show aniways... people just simply move on into new things.. Which is very true... aventually there will have to be an ending to that show some how or another... because its getting kind of boring for the last few years.. its not as good as it purely nature used to be with the show.

In the past we had more interating with big brother show then what you people can do with bb show.. all you have is forums like this to talk about it.. but you young lads miss the good days when WE used to have the uplate shows... adult show... bb webcams 24/7 are you getting any of the good days ? i bet not. So thats life

Well if hair str8ners and hair dryers are accepted in bb show.... then i tell you its not really a big brother show no more...... so much bloody ones with thier looks just because they on television.... do they need a bucket full of makeups with that?

Im not hating big brother show at all.. just telling you people how good it used to be years ago..

Because i read the forum all the times i hear people they want this and that the webcams... the uplate shows... and you all non getting any because channel 9 said so....... this is why the actual bb programe is less that excitement... because without what PEOPLE demand its simply not good enough. So perhaps the show will die of slowly like everyone has been thinking.... it has to die off aventually its just the way things are really.

Without the webcams and the uplate shows and the actual LIVE shows on television.. why bother create big brother if they not listerning to the people like you ?

Probably don't you know that before make up was invented people were really really ugly, I don't want to see ugly people on my TV.
 
i rather want people what they want.. like you... you want webcams we should include that... what to see LIVE shows on television without the editing... will do what you say.... Without the uplate shows and you want it ? well its simply not as good as it used to be.. I rather let people have thier say and opinions people want to interact with the show... not just watch it only on television...

because if channel 9 wants you to watch it on television... then i say to myself directly to them why are they creating a big brother website if you aint getting webcams or anything.... just boring and when i say boring i mean its not as good as it simply used to be :) very true..

If they so afraid that cams may take effect... perhaps they should not have a bb website online because that also makes people stay on the website more then the television itself... teh

If you want to interact with the show I suggest you buy a mega phone, go to dreamworld and then use the mega phone to shout over to the house.

You really don't need to. The majority of us here are the diehard fans who have watched the show since day one. We knoooww! And I thought I was the cynic of the forums...

In all realism, you started this thread less than 4 hours ago and in that time there's been about 44 posts... 25 of which are by you and you alone. I mean, we've now seen more of BB01's Ben than we have in over 10 years! :rolleyes:
