Meglos?

This is horrible to find out. I had a really bad feeling something like this had happened, I really didn’t want it to be true 😢

Rest in peace @Meglos its so weird because it was just 2 months ago we were talking together about survivor. I can’t believe that’s the last time we would get to have such wonderful discussions. This forum will never feel the same again.

Our worst fears have come to pass and I will miss our little 'gween monster' terribly. I have known him here and elsewhere for over twenty years and things won't be the same without his insightful posts. Sincere sympathy to his family and friends. RIP Megs always loved you buddy. I'll buy some bbq pork buns and eat them in your memory...and perhaps even some nectarines.

😢 This is such sad news, and is the news I was hoping not to hear. He will be sadly missed.
I hope he knows how much we all loved and appreciated his online friendship. He brought a lot of joy, laughs and fun to the threads we participated in.
RIP dear Megs 💕.

So right. He was definitely a much loved and respected member here*, and I'm sure everyone will miss him. Gone too young and far too soon. RIP Meglos.

*the stats say it all (ignore my rating which was artificially inflated by vapid sweepstakes and tipping comps, he should always have been higher than me).

…quite a while back I animated the Avatar of his gween muppet image for Meglos without him knowing and sent it to him… lol!… he was so stoked by it… it was from then on that we had regular pm chats from then onwards… I’m going to miss those behind the scene chats so much now… I’ll miss them more because I now feel that I wish we had more of them at the time… I’ll miss you mate… cheers.

After all these years of looking at his avatar it now actually hits me that this is the reason I say co-operation the way that I do sometimes - I knew it came from a children's tv show somewhere in my brain but never realized what.
I wasn't sure either.
Then I don't know where I got my own from!

That’s devastating. I could feel awesome person vibes from him, he was taken too young!

He would have a view that noone else does, and he would get you thinking. Very insightful, respectful, and so dedicated to all the things we love. I’m so sad to hear this. Megs you will be missed here always, your passing has left a hole on this space.

My condolences and thoughts to his friends and family ❤️

Thanks for sharing it Nugs and @t.r for looking into this and finding us this piece of information. RIP Brad 🌸 💐

I am heartbroken.

Far out,

A day before he left this world, he logged on here.

RIP @Meglos
Yes. While I don't know what happened, it was out of the blue. He was not ill with any major illness in the weeks/months beforehand that I am aware of, and he probably would have disclosed that to me if so (I have been undergoing treatment for cancer over the last year, and we talked about that). It goes to show that none of us know when our time is up.

All of that's very true.

Brad was 51. It would have been his 52nd birthday in the week just gone.

51/52, is far too young.
I've been wondering if it could have been an aneurism or brain haemorrhage to have happened that quick - as in posting one day and gone the next.
We've had 2 friends who passed instantly of brain hemorrhages. Both guys who were 58. Devastating. And you're right, Nugs, you never know when your number is up, which is quite frightening when you think it can be cut short, that quickly, without any warning.
I hope your treatment is going well. That will have been a tough year to endure.
