Enjoyed tonight’s ep far more than the previous two. We got a glimpse/reminder of their personalities and that’s what’s always been endearing about MC imo. Some of the food I would like to try but not after a big night out…some bikkies and cheese would suffice for me…and another glass of red.

I agree, having old schoolers like Andre and Audra really do help make the series interesting IMO. I've felt that show has really surpessed the personalities of contestants in recent years, but seeing some old school legends who know how to HAM it up on camera did make me enjoy tonight. Solo cooks are always the best!

I do like some team challenges, mostly I enjoy when they do food truck style challenges and they create their own menus and the teams have to try to earn the most money. I also love episodes like pressure tests because they really do feel so stressful and you get to focus in on 3-4 people for an episode and see how well they cook. I assume Gordan Ramsey being there for the premiere had a lot to do with the format for the first week, once people start getting eliminated and they do more offsite challenges it should be more fun.

My absolute least favourite challenges are service challenges inside the kitchen, it is so much more fun to see them venture out into different parts of Victoria or the odd inerstate trip. Those are always epic!
 
Missed the whole show…I’ll have to try and catch up. I have FAR too many people here and they all expect to be fed MC quality meals or almost! No toasties here!

I did my usual trick and fell asleep and woke up as Laura was being judged. So, I, too will have to watch today 🤡

I forgot about Jimmy. I liked him on his season.
I remember not liking Rhiannon too much - but we won't go there.
I love the love you feel while watching them cook like this; congratulate each other; commiserate with each other ... bring on the tissue box!
 
Can't say I wasn't upset to see Cath go. But rather her than either of the other two.
And, so, the toasties, was Tim's toastie - not a show full of toasties!

Glad Kath went…can’t stand her voice and constant geeing herself up when she’s flustered.
 
Loved tonight’s show. Mystery boxes are the best! Some great looking (and sounding) dishes produced by most. Darrsh, if you’re going to use an hibachi and are a bit unsure, wouldn’t it make sense to partly cook the protein in a pan etc first and then finish it on the grill? Can’t remember her name (but I know I liked her in her season) didn’t prepare enough squid for tasting by one person let alone five! NZ guy’s looked ok to me but obviously wasn’t great to eat.
 
I'm here tonight! I love pressure tests and Tuesday's are my night off so I'll at least be here weekly
 
Admittedly too I am about to turn 25 and still can't cook very well, but I grew up with Granny making cakes with us kids and I do enjoy watching desserts on masterchef.
