Masterchef 2024

The overcooked chop, mash and peas bring back horrendous memories from my childhood. My Mum was guilty of dishing up that slop as well until one night I just vomited it up on my plate...never got it again! I hasten to add that my Mum was actually a good cook but my Dad had very simple tastes.

Yes, I have some vivid memories of horrible dinners .
My mum also wasn't that bad, but those memories are from about 15 up, before that, nope!
 
I remember the most served up as kids we had tomato soup, out of a can. Shepherds Pie, home made, and lemon or strawberry mousse shop bought.
 
Mind you, my stepson might have a thing or two to say about my offerings as a non veggo!
He and his wife have turned more veggie now as adults though .
I remember him saying we ate bird seed and weird things from the Asian supermarket 😂
