Masterchef 2018

This is as painful as expected.
The judges were salivating over Ben's (disgusting) squid ink before he'd even put the plates on the table.
Jess didn't stand a chance.

...she didn't did she?... and... those smug looks on Ben's face sicken me too... just knowing that he's their golden boy is bad enough but when he gets through and does that smug look afterwards really burns my feckles big time... what a twonk!... cheers.

PS. Why doesn't George take some of that money he doesn't pay his employees, and buy himself a pair of jeans with no holes?
Or at least raid the channel TEN costume department.

...George probably thinks that if he wears Jeans with holes in them that the debtors will take pity on him because he looks so 'poor' most likely Meglos... cheers.

Oh look, Ben won! What a complete and utter surprise, who could have predicted it?

I rarely swear, but... ARSEHOLES.

...that's what we all KNEW would happen Meglos... isn't it so kind of Gary and George to ensure that we weren't disappointed?... golly gosh and gee willickers those guys are so nice to us aren't they?... cheers.

Ah, glad I deliberately didn't watch tonight!
Looks like they want Ben to win, perhaps the grand final will be Ben vs Sashi?
I called it a while ago, I think the powers that be want another Andy Allen or Brent type winner this year, and Ben's their man.
This season is really limping to a fairly uninspiring close, not worthy of 10 years of Masterchef, symptomatic however of Gary and George in particular letting their personal biases affect proceedings.

And once again, could not validate why he won it.

They couldn't actually identify one reason why Ben should win, so it came down to "we like him better".

...and yet another 'Masterclass' in how to rig their show to satiate themselves!... it's incredible that they don't even feel the necessity to explain to us as to why Ben won it... they think in their own bewildering worlds that we are thinking the same way as them and that we 'love' Ben like they do...

...Gary and George believe that this is THEIR show and that THEY will decide on who THEY want to win and that we can go fug ourselves because THEIR golden boy Ben will win this because of THEM... so where does true justice and fairness lie in all of this?... nowhere I imagine?... cheers.

...yes Evan44... sadly at the beginning of this season they were promising us that to celebrate their 10 years that it would be something 'special'... yup!... it's 'special' alright... it's called... 'Ben'... yup!... special indeed... cheers.

Another good result for Masterchef, it was number one in it's timeslot with 876k and was also number 1 in all demos. Ninja on the other hand was third in the timeslot and was down a massive 1.3 million viewers on last year.

So people are lapping up the judges blatant pandering, and the Ben show.
That's kind of depressing.
I do think there have been some very good contestants this year, and three of them are still there. But the general feeling has not been one of enjoyment, because George and Gary have become too smug and controlling.

OK, they don't eliminate anyone tonight. The person who wins the challenge at Bondi Icebergs goes straight into the semi-finals, the other 3 go into the next elimination, which is on Sunday night(why not Masterchef tomorrow night?).
Yep, the smugness of Gary and George this season has been a big letdown.

Probably because they wanted to stretch Masterchef until next Tuesday so they can go straight into Survivor on Wednesday.
