Masterchef 2017

...we all know that it will be Pia/Pete and Ray that will be cooking off against each other so yes!... Sarah along with Sam and of course Eloise... (I'm shocked that it wasn't Jessica though to be honest)... cheers.

...Gary said that the guest Chef did a great job of 'pushing them' while they were cooking... did he even SPEAK to them during the cooking let alone 'push' them?... what a lad of cobblers!... lol!... cheers.

...thanks again you wonderful people for joining in on the fun again tonight... I can't wait to pick the shit out of that bloody ridiculous sounding 'Tower of Terror' dish tomorrow night... lol!... see you then... cheers.

Yeah I think so. I'm thinking Rays earlier win was juke dumb luck.

...yep!... I so agree with you about that... I cannot believe that we saw nothing at all of Callan/Bryan/Benita/Arum and so many others tonight... the one great thing though... 'Benjamin' the Lawyer wasn't on too lol!... cheers.

Surely they don't need these 4 hour, 100 stage challenges at this stage of the competition. A batch of lamingtons would trouble some of these people.

...bwahahahaha!... crack-up #3 tonight!... but it is sooooooo true isn't it?... lol!... cheers.

I still wish they wouldn't make the top/bottom three so obvious. They were all people who got showcase edits, and tons of them weren't mentioned at all. Arum (ARUM!!! No, really, that's a name) only showed up in the last ten seconds for the tasting.

Mr Sticky, you watch MasterChef live instead of Doctor Who? :wideyed:
Just kidding, I haven't watched DW yet. Just finished watching MasterChef.

...hahaha!... funny as Meglos... I realised pretty quickly that when I first started watching this series of Doctor Who that I was literally talking to myself only on there 'Live' because everyone just wanted to savour the moment and watch it without interruptions so after one or two times I fell in too lol!... besides... Doctor Who deserves your full attention when you watch it uninterrupted because so much is happening and it's easy to miss things...

...so when Masterchef started up and conflicted with Doctor Who I decided that because people talk back on this thread 'Live' that I would tape Doctor Who and Whovians and would watch it usually straight after Masterchef finishes but I don't write up about the episode until I've seen it 2 or 3 times the next day... that way I usually don't miss anything in the episode... I also never read peoples reviews on the Doctor Who thread until I've posted mine either so my opinion is as raw as it gets... whether for the good of the show or the bad lol!... cheers.

Similar for me. I just finished watching MasterChef and the Voice, and am about to watch DW and Whovians now they have my full attention. I haven't looked in the DW thread tonight, or read anything about it on the internet.
Looking forward to your reviews tomorrow (or whenever).

...yes I know what you mean Meglos... I mentioned the same thing in an earlier post... the trouble is... when they inundate us with the judges favourites and shove them down our throats for a couple or few nights in a row we tend to start 'disliking' them because it's obvious that the are the judges favourites...

...and for the ones that get a lousy edit and less airtime we tend to lose that initial 'bond' with them and end up not caring about them anymore after having fallen in love with them in the first few episodes when they all got equal airtime... it really sucks like that and I hate it...

...but what I hate more than that is when Gary/George and (not so much) Matt blatantly show us that they favour certain contestants and couldn't care less whether it is blatant or not... Gary being the worse and George not far behind... Matt seems to be the fairest of the 3 of them... it would be such a better show if they replaced both Gary and George... replace them with a female being one of them... that way it won't be such a 'boys club' feeling for me at least... just my 2 cents worth anyway... cheers.

...I rarely (if ever) tend to read anything on the Internet about the episode that just aired until 2-3 days later because after I've so enjoyed the episode that I can't be arsed reading peoples reviews that bag the shit out of the episode... after I've savoured the moment for the 2-3 days then I may read them... some people bag it even if it was the most perfect episode of ANY show that was ever produced... some people are just complete ingrates at times...

...back to tonight's Masterchef... someone earlier (oddjob?) said something that made me think that Ray seems to have been 'set up to fail' somehow... when he 'won' the chance to be the one that had to pick what the task was supposed to be did it seem to anyone else on here that they all knew that Ray would be way out of his depth in doing this?... that's how I felt about it... lets face it... Ray is so clueless in what he does on this show... he should just stick to healing people as a Doctor as far as I'm concerned anyway... but I really do feel that Ray was set up tonight somehow... cheers.

yes, just as the producers and director intended all along... (you realize this thing is scripted don't you?)

...haha!... you're probably right SeanE but it's so much less obvious than most other Australian Reality shows I like to believe... lol!... the way that I look at it is this... there is most likely no actual 'script' as the show begins so to speak and what innocently happens between the unaware contestants is genuine and that results that happen just happen... BUT!... once the winner has claimed the prize and they have all long gone home then the Producers and Editors edit the shit out of it so it looks like they look like they are are all on 'journies' etc...

...and also when they're not actually doing cooking tasks they ask the contestants to do 'fillers' and tell their 'Life stories' and 'sob stories' on their reasons for being on the show... once the Producers have all of the schmaltzy stuff that they want they then manipulate it all to make the viewing public to either hate or love certain people... but some of them are wise to this... people like 'Benjamin' the Lawyer for instance... that's why he talks so damn much when they allow him to speak... he knows how to 'sell his bullshit' in such small valuable doses when the camera is pointed to him only I believe...

...let's face it SeanE... none of them are on there just to 'live their dream'... they are on there to get their faces on TV for 'fame' and exposure only... managing to actually win it is just the side bonus for them... if it wasn't for that reason alone then they would all go and try to get a small business loan or something to open their own Cafe's or whatever so as to 'live their dreams' wouldn't they?...

...haha!... as you suggest... it would be 'scripted' but only after the contestants have long gone home I believe... lets face it... none of them can 'act' for shit lol!... (well maybe one perhaps... 'Benjamin' the Lawyer could... he's used to bare-faced lying and bullshitting isn't he?)...
lol!... and as I said... at least Masterchef doesn't make it so blatantly obvious though as 'My Kitchen Rules' does for example thankfully... lol!... cheers.

...and... it's on!... bye Ray!... Pia should nail this... Pete will hang in by the skin of his teeth methinks!... cheers.
