Masterchef 2016

When did Matt go wobbly over the last 2 weeks and put up sub par dishes? I thought he nailed the dishes he cooked? Have I forgotten something? I know he had time issues a couple of episodes but he cooked great dishes, didn't he? It was his team mate that let him down? Maybe he's gone "wobbly" because the judges seem to question his abilities and sap his confidence every episode? I haven't seen any evidence to suggest he warrants the almost hostile, negative angst from the judges. I just don't understand it. :(

He didn't. Editing just haven't liked him, which is okay, because frankly, the three that they have pushed through this show have never been worth the effort, make it easy. Who the production team don't like are the one's to back.

...as I said last night lynn-ann...

...well... from the way that I read it is that Matt/George and Garry don't think of Matt as a 'main contender' in their eyes... to them he is an 'annoyance' that won't fail and just go away

...I just think that it boils down to just that... his skill in cooking just pissed them off... the only time that he was in eliminations was when his partner or team let him down from memory... yet he still survived it regardless of them... he wasn't part of their script... just surviving really made them dislike him... his survival 'defied' their rather large egos and that was the end of Matt from what I can make of it... but that's just my theory anyway... lol!... cheers.

At this point of time, enjoy the car crash to come.

Hooray! I did enjoy the (judges) favourite stuffing up to a point where they couldn't save her.
I don't buy Chloe's "when I started I had no confidence" speech. She was ALWAYS cocky and over-confident, that's the only reason no one on here warmed to her and we wanted to see her gone. It's not personal, she just came across as too sure of herself.

I hated the utter pretentiousness of the "bottled sauce" shenanigans. YOU gave them jars of condiments, if you didn't want them to use them then why offer them and insist they use them?
The judges snuffled and slurped their food tonight like true pigs, along with much cutlery scraping. Just give them a trough to dip their snouts in next time!

...me neither... when they first started this season the judges started warming to her after just a few episodes and she tweaked to it straight away and decided to go along with it for the ride knowing that she was going to be 'protected' in her 'journey' through it as far as I'm concerned... her quick acceptance of it is what turned me against her pretty early in the show... watching her revelling in her 'protection' all the way through the rest of the series just infuriated me and made me dislike her more and more... as with Theresa... I don't blame her... I blame Garry/George and Matt (and production)... well that's my two cents anyway Meglos my friend... cheers.

It's interesting that the show assumes Chloe is a favourite. It was obvious they were implying that either Matt or Chloe went home, but Chloe is only a favourite in their eyes, whereas they probably didn't expect Matt to be a front-runner at all.
They clearly don't read this forum or they'd know the truth ;)

I've mentioned this factor a few times, totally. The production or editors or judges got it totally wrong this season considering it was filmed months ago. I think whichever chose the favs needs to go.
