I do find this tasting test a bit strange. What may not look like a fancy pants dish may taste amazing and they miss out because it's not pretty enough.

Masterchef does have that "feel good" and support each other vibe. Even in competition there is camaraderie. And a real communal food appreciation.
It does have a rub-off effect. I hug the pizza delivery guy now. He would probably prefer a tip but I think a hug is invaluable.

Based on edits, I'm gonna guess bottom 3 will be Elena Brett and Mimi with Mimi smashing the pressure test and either one of the other 2 being eliminated. That's my bet.
