But in Hospo the people making demands aren't your housemates, theyre random people that you'll never see again. And at the end of your shift you go home. And you earn money and have a choice in what you eat.

The return in the task is the house budget. I think this task should have been failed already as it is a rule that you are not allowed to eat the guests food.

Tasks like these are for roleplay purposes. Simulating a hospo environment. Which is why you see some of the housemates put on accents and having fun with it unlike the others who were spitting the dummy about not getting great food.

What hospo thing makes you not sleep in your own bed with bright lights on all night, are limited to what food and drink you can have and on call 24 hours

Yeah, I don't think when people are emotionally and physically stressed. Mistreated and pushed to the breaking point. They'll just laugh it off when told it was done for shits and giggles.
