Only way to deal with Colin is not reacting, not acknowledging him and if necessary just staring at him, mouth slightly open, start to frown and turn away. No words will penetrate that skull of his.

When? The initial mocking and making fun of her was caught earlier, then while they were on the couches during Noms the same sort of comments came up again (I think instigated by Colin, Bruce or Ed), which I didn’t notate. They were basically repeating the same lines from the backyard and throwing sarcastic comments to each other based on Mia about Ed, “communities”, etc. Then one of the girls tried to calm it by saying “it was a good speech though” or something.

8:56am - Some HMs are chatting in the yard. Conversation briefly turns to Nominations and whether Allana can still nominate as HoH. Holly confirms she can. Colin then pipes up: "Bruce, mate, can I ask you a question?"

Colin: "Why are you here?" (referring to Mia's goodbye message from last night) "Bro, Australia don't even know, cuz..." (sic) "...that one's like a slow burn, bro, especially coming from Mia."

Allana sounds like she agrees, and Vinnie joins in commenting it was a "crazy segment" by Mia.

Bruce: "I did digest this last night and here's my conclusion. I...

Ah yes. I think I saw that.

I think her speech was tame and classy. Respectable.
 
Ultimately, they’re not just continuing to mock and bully Mia as an individual (when she’s not even there), but also re-enforcing their views and attitudes towards people like her and minority groups in general.

If they didn’t feel that way, they wouldn’t be “joking” about pronouns, communities, and so on. The fact they’re not being pulled up on it by BB (and these views not being aired on the show) is getting a bit insane.

Which I agree with, but it’s one thing to find Mia annoying and another to start mocking pronouns and identities.

It’s also pretty rich that Bruce mocks communities but then says he “represents surf coast tradies”. Sadly he doesn’t have the intelligence to realise his contradiction.

Peter, when he does act stern, does come across mean. He rarely ever does though, I can count on 1 hand how many times he has been strict in the whol 2 weeks so far
