Leaked: Meet the 2025 housemates. And will Australia vote in another on Monday?

Anyone with over 500 friends/followers should be excluded. This is going against finding real people with genuine motives.
You probably need to add a 0 to that figure, even two, to get to influencer territory.

Ultimately it depends what they offer - you can have influencers who just to copy the latest TikTok trends and think that makes them creative or you can have "influencers" who actually use the platform to spread a message or tell a story. I think you rule out those who would call it their career and base their whole personality around it but a complete ban would not work.
Someone was on the livestream chats a few weeks ago claiming that this would happen. We all laughed and assumed they were making this all up, they even got banned from the chat after BB called them out for saying nothing that was true.

And now they're right... Coincidence, or were they actually leaking info? 🤔

Also, what a weird disclaimer on the voting page when you click on someone:

I'd be more concerned about the "for entertainment purposes only". Basically admitting they can disregard the result and do what they want anyway.

Previously they were .webm video files - which is odd because I accidentally downloaded the video file for Bruce and it was 133KB in size. The gif is 760KB. So they haven't even done it to make the files even smaller. The files look worse than when they were videos too.

It's probably what Monday's live show is. Australia chooses the last housemates. Still better than the DEFINITELY NOT RIGGED Starburst golden key situation.

Agreed. I somehow have 8K. I only follow 172 people and I haven't posted on my socials in years.

She’s definitely a house mate as her account is now private. She’s not a very nice person, also major influencer and constantly posting her high end lifestyle. Can guarantee she will be a bit of a villain

If these people are actually housemates... Omfg.

Didn't they specifically say at some point that they weren't wanting influencer famewhores and wanted "real" people?

my friend is a producer who has worked on farmer wants a wife etc. and he said production will say anything during the advertisement phase if it wins them an audience.

but I do feel like most people would know at least 1 or 2 influencers/content creators or people who aspire to be one these days, so it seems only natural that at least one or two are in the house.

I think people forget that a lot of people even in the OG BB days wanted a media career out of the show, this is just today's version of it.

This is true. But back in the 2000s they had to be interesting and/or entertaining on the show to get any traction on that front. Nowadays the influencers that go on the shows are bland or fake as fuck to avoid controversy so they don’t burn bridges for future collabs/deals and are only there to grow their follower count.

While the ultimate motivation for applying remains the same, what we get out of them as viewers is radically different.

I think it’s fine if there’s one or two of them. The housemates should be a reflection of society and an influencer can represent “that type”.

Those 10 are for sure the cast all there accounts are private and the other 2 not revealed is 1 male and 1 female because it was confirmed the genders are not even in a interview so 7 males 5 females 1 missing male 1 missing female then we vote for a 13th

Hmm, yes and no. Gogglebox is a perfect example of placing completely fresh, no frills “regular” everyday people in front of a camera. There’s a few Gogglebox participants I think would be more than wonderful for a show like Big Brother - and whom could easily capture an audience. So I don’t think it’s impossible, especially not by Ten’s producers and casting teams.

Influencers and big brother do not mix. Completely incompatible. Hopefully if this is true they’ll be voted off quickly. I want to watch a brick layer and a fish and chip shop owner, not Holly from Sydney that pays her rent by doing dances for tik tok reels and brand endorsements. Those are z-list celebrities. On a show like big brother they’ll be self censoring and regulating to increase their following and fan base.

To say influencers are our day to day people these days is a farce. I live in a big city and know plenty of people who aren’t influencers. They do exist.

I’m surprised this list hasn’t made its way onto other fan sites and groups. I think it’s unlikely that these aren’t our HMs.

We’ll know for sure in a few hours…
