Last movie you saw

I wasn't scared about it, the dude in Ireland was going on about the blue penis like it was the best feature of the movie.
 
I went to a free screening of "Confessions of a Shopaholic" tonight.

It wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but I loved it. Isla was fabulous.
 
Death Race


Not as fun as the original but still a great way to pass time. You don't really notice that 100 minutes has gone by so fast. I thought it was an Ok way to pass time. Jason Statham of the Transporter movies is a good lead aided by fiesty co star Natalie Martinez as his navigator / co pilot. They race around this futuristic prison in cars modified with armour and guns, and ejector seats. There's a bit of gore, some language and fast action.

I did have to LOL at the very end of the movie when this comes on screen. see below.

As if people watching this are going to take their cars onto the street mount heavy armour on them and guns, and play Death Race...

Just as a coincidence, did anyone watch Medium tonight?
Tonight is started in a dream, as it usually does, with Joe Dubois/Jake Weber in a post apocalyptic world. A bit like.... Dawn of the Dead, which also starred Jake Webber and by chance I acquired and watched tonight.

Great movie. Good and nasty.

Quite an enjoyable film. It's a little bit all too easy, but it's about a guy who was some sort of high trained spy/ special forces type guy who is retired, Liam Neeson kicking ass. His daughter goes to Europe on holiday and gets kidnapped in paris to be sold into the sex trade. So he heads over there to find her. Good for a fun action film, nicely directed.

I haven't seen DOTD, but I knew Weber was in it and thought exactly the same thing. lol
 
Videodrome.
A very very weird 1980's Cronenberg movie.
Snuff movies,
breathing living video tapes,
organic vaginal VCRs in stomachs,
Debbie Harry naked and stubbing out cigarettes on her breast,
TV induced brain tumors,
Brian O'blivion
and a very flakey hold on reality and sanity.

Very freaky.

Oh please I'm not a fan of cronenberg movies..... that one did my head in. It was just way too weird and out there.
 
Ghost Rider.

Saw this a few days ago for the first time. It just didn't work. A big issue with it was, the second Nick Cage became the ghost rider, you lost any of the little emotional attachment you held with the character. Then, there just wasn't a natural transition of his character dealing with this, and it all just didn't work. The film wasn't terrible, it just didn't work. The characters and story weren't strong enough, and the action focus wasn't good enough to over come these short comings.

The Hunt For Red October

I picked this up cheaply as a double pack with one of the harrison ford jack ryan movies in kmart the other day. I had never seen it, and i figured i might like it. It actually held up much better than I expected. Quite a good film. It never got boring, had a good story, good actors and yeah, it really held up quite well, so bravo!
