Last movie you saw

No idea, but she's probably right. What does she do in those films besides bounce her boobs up and down in close ups? But she shouldn't do those types of movies if she doesn't want to be seen as just a sexual object.

I don't like Michael Bay though. Has anyone tried to listen to the Transformers dvd commentary? The guy is just painful to listen to.

From reading that quoted bit he seems a big over reactive to it, however I'm sure it was the context megan fox said the original statement. Probably in a denigrating way towards Bays types of films. Probably was basically saying she's much better than to be doing Bays sort of films. Something yet to be proven as far as I know.
As far as no acting, some times you have to act even harder in big special effects films to sell it.
Just look how George Lucas who isn't good with actors couldn't get excellent actors to act well in the prequels. There is an art to sell the ridiculous and unreal.

I can be a bit of a Michael Bay apologist though.
Although look at his films

Bad Boys 1 & 2. First ones a good solid entertaining above average action film. The second one is one of the best action movies for action of all time. Sure it's god some stupid stuff in the script, but it'd be hard pressed to name a movie with as many large scale excellent action pieces. It set out to push it to 11 and it delivers. It is though a boys film haha

The Rock, another solid better than average action film.

Armageddon.. the film is dumb, is one of the most scientifically inaccurate films ever, pushes hard to try and sell the emotion, but it's still got a fair bit of entertainment in it and has good sceptical. It never takes the story seriously why not actually admitting it is not doing so. Probably my least favourite of his films. The only one I don't own on dvd.

Pearl Harbour, the film fails from the love story stuff, but i watched it again last year on Dvd and did quite enjoy it still. I still think there's more good than bad, but it just goes on for too long and the love story angle didn't quite work. Oh and Kate Beckinsale.. lover her.. and yeah didn't this launch her hollywood career..

The Island probably the best all round film he's made that isn't ridiculous or catering to just young men, or what have you. It's a pretty darn good film.

Transformers, a basically perfect execution of a summer popcorn blockbuster.

Transformers 2, is probably actually his most flawed film, however a lot of it is darn entertaining. And I still blame the problems of the writers strike for the main flaws. No script, a start deadline and bay sitting up at ILM working on Animatics for the action for the film with no script.

I love The Island... I thought the huge chase scene was very similar to the one in Bad Boys 2 in many ways. But it was still cool...... I liked the first Bad Boys but you are right the 2nd one is good for action.

Oh and speaking of Armageddon check this out

I saw that Megan Fox movie. I disconnected all incredulity and went with the flooooooowwwwwww. It was a good ride.

God I want to be reincarnated as Megan's pantsu. Even though the slow motion running scene revealed Miss Fox to be not entirely authentic - at least booty can't be faked. I'm afraid a few years will find her a total write-off with further surgery. The pain...

This time around I definitely got my money's worth. There was even an Opticus, er, Optimus allusion. Machine elves abounded. They really exist you know, and they're just dying to scan your brain.

Up all night i have to agree with pretty much all you've said about Transformers 2. I saw it thursday night and i bloody loved it. But as you said it did have its flaws. I can't help it though, i thought it was AWESOME!
Oh and i'm a girl and i love big blockbusters and action "boy" movies. Loved Bad Boys. :)
I tend to like my films to be big and blockbustery. I read all sorts of stuff and my taste in music generally leans towards the alternative but my films have to be popcorny :) I love a good ride.

Oh my, it certainly can. You can get butt lifts, but tucks and but implants. Anything can be operated on these days.

I love a good blockbuster, but it needs to have something behind it. I've avoided seeing Transformer's for that reason. I need a good story to keep me interested. The only movies I can tolerate as mindless movies are comedies - but it generally has to be really funny.

I thought she was good in How To Lose Friends.. but she was sort of playing herself.

Okay, if you don't like lots of blood and limbs getting chopped off and exploding heads and maniac vampire Japanese chicks, then don't watch this....

I watched Pride and Glory with Edward Norton and Colin Firth - good movie, Edward Norton is such a good actor, I even enjoy watching him in his not so great movies.

Ice Age 3D - I really had a good cackle at this movie, it's just as good as the first two. Syd is amazing and the plot was good, perhaps the first half was funnier than the second. I didn't think much of the 3D effects actually, they didn't seem to be that impressive, I was sitting up high and dead front on and was thinking throughout that it seemed not to be working, but I guess not everything can stand out. It was amazingly clear though. Plenty of adult laughs that they kids dont' get at all. The 11 year old cackled all the way through it too and I was sure he would have been underwhelmed.

This movie looks good! called Daybreakers, it was filmed in QLD and has a majority of Australian cast including Claudia Karvan and Isabel Lucas. You wouldn't even know it from this trailer!

Sunshine Cleaning - um, I found this a tad under whelming. While there is a plot and it stays on course I just thought it was not moving or interesting. I wasn't delighted or caught unawares, I thought it non eventful in the middle of the movie, it started off promising with two sisters doing it tough but never evolved into anything indepth or substantial, it had a happy ending but all in all wait for the DVD.

Irreversable

Bad movie..... Bad movie.....

Actually it's a very good movie I just could not sit through the huge rape scene of Monica Belucci.... How dare you do that to such a wonderful actress.....After stoping dvd half way through I vowed to never watch the rest.
