jessy_girl's junk food jamboree

They were the best! Everyone made a fuss over the chocolate one though, I was into the berry one I think, or was it strawberry. I can't remember but I much preferred that one. Not that I would say no to chocolate anyways

See, chocolate I like but I can take it or leave it most of the time, especially as a flavouring. I think I'd prefer a berry pop tart, I seriously can't recall. I'm all about dessert for breakfast, and that's clearly what this is.

I'm the same. I love chocolate on its own. At maccas I use to always go just the strawberry shake, the chocolate one was just not that good.

Yeah I LOVE the chocolate poptart, it's so fudgey.
Aldi had some for a while there but otherwise you can only get them in candy places...LOL@marketing them as 'breakfast' in the 90s.

Same here, like ok if I HAD to consume a chocolate shake then I could, same with the choc sundae, but clearly strawberry or vanilla was where it was at. Caramel for sundaes though. I heard rumours of a caramel thickshake from McDonald's but I was never able to confirm it. I feel they could easily make it.

Yeah I didn't want to break it to JG that it clearly was not a breakfast thing lol
Though she knows, but ignorance sometimes is bliss

Now look, if I can have a magnum or cheesecake or caramel slice for breakfast (I have done all 3 recently) then is a poptart really that different? At least it masquerades as a breakfast item.

Although for breakfast today I had a protein shake, who even am I?

Caramel Paddle Pops were great. I'm not even sure what flavours they make anymore, but banana still exists, and chocolate obviously. I love lime ice cream, there isn't much around.

I loved when they brought vanilla back, but I guess it was just for a limited time. The caramel is good, but banana is my favourite. Although, did you know that rainbow is caramel flavoured?! I know, right? Mind. Blown. So they are my second fave for the yummy caramel flavour and the bright artificial colours.

Years ago they had a vanilla one that was choc-coated, it was amazeballs.

I remembered another of my favourite breakfasts from days gone by, definitely more in the "dessert" category. Some kind of sweet biscuit, I liked Anzac or choc chip usually but I wasn't fussy, crushed up and served with milk like cereal. An Anzac biscuit has oats in it, it's basically muesli or porridge. Right? Not sure how I have made it this far without being a lard arse.

I've had donuts/choc chip muffins for breakfast before.

And now with the all day breakafast you can get five pm hash browns. You can walk down to the nearest maccas in your neatest attire going 'doo dee doo doo'. Then when you get there you can get all the hash browns.

Well maybe you can, sadly I am yet to experience this privilege.

Sausage and egg mcmuffin in southern Germany disappointing, I think it must have been pork. Didn't taste the same. And No Hash Browns?!?! They did have 'toast' though, which looked alright. But I didn't try. It seemed to really be different varieties of toasted sandwiches.
