jessy_girl's junk food jamboree

So i was craving a whopper pretty bad all afternoon and had this big plan to maybe get a stunner meal on my way to work this evening but then I had to drive my cousin so my plans were thwarted. So sad. Luckily I got to work and was rewarded with pizza, cupcakes and ice cream which is pretty good. I still want the whopper though :(

Whopper are high quality burgers and are superior to most maccas burgers.
Sadly the other parts of HJs are lacking.

The build your own burgers at maccas are awesome. Ridiculously expensive, it cost me $22 for my meal, but as a one-off it was as good a burger as I've ever had anywhere. Mine had a brioche, a wagyu beef pattie, pineapple, crispy bacon and caramelised bacon, old English cheese, lettuce, tomato & bbq sauce. I subtracted some elements before finalising my order, like an extra beef pattie, because it goes up by 50 cents or a dollar for each element. But the taste was worth it, and I don't usually like McDonalds at all.

Whoppers are my fave. HJs is also my favourite overall but I think it's due largely to the burgers. KFC burgers are the worst but their chips are soooo good as is their popcorn chicken. Those plus a whopper is my dream meal I think.

I haven't tried this yet, I really want to though. I saw you can even have a lettuce leaf as the bun and skip the meat altogether. Umm not that I'd do that obvi but my sister is a health nut vegan so I think I could actually get her to eat some McD.

Interesting!!! Might have to check it out...when I seen the commercial I thought it'd bomb completely.

They are more like a bread roll and seen slightly sweet to me. Obviously some like it but I think it's a major let down.

Yes. I think the sweetness works in their dinner rolls, but not for burger rolls. Also, the chicken fillets in KFC's burgers always seem very dried up.

Oh ok. Which buns are the best?

I do not know my buns to answer this accurately, but whatever HJ uses is best.

Yeah I'll agree with that. Most of their chicken is so average, I only really like the popcorn chicken. Although they had this limited time thing that was quite yummy. Hot rod maybe? Really the twister is the only substantial thing I'd eat from there.

At Birkenhead they have this lolly store and they sold pop tarts. I wasn't sure where else to post this so this thread will do, but my goodness they were the shit back when I was kid

Yes I love pop tarts! My mum would never let me eat them as a kid along with literally every other cool thing, but my dads and uncle would let me have them. I have seen them occasionally in shops, next time I must buy them.

They were the best! Everyone made a fuss over the chocolate one though, I was into the berry one I think, or was it strawberry. I can't remember but I much preferred that one. Not that I would say no to chocolate anyways
