Jade is dyslexic....?

Certainly the later.

Jade is not the type of person who would ever say she had dyslexia on big brother.

People are using their jump to conclusions maps.

I think jade has aspergers and trichinosis.

So you think Jade has aspergers and trichinosis?

Interesting.

Personally I think she could have aspergers and trichinosis with a twist of editis. It is the only explanation that covers her slow reading and her Ed infatuation.

I think it was a joke, there's no way that Jade has aspergers with how well she speaks (articulate and confident).

I think you will find there is a little more to dyslexia than being a little slow when reading.

Has she a diagnosis of dyslexia or a forum diagnosis of dyslexia?

Lol this isn't a case of people trying to diagnose like they did Tully.

She actually point blank told Justynn that she has dyslexia and she had a colour test in school to see what colour paper would help her read better.

I did not think about Editis but I was performing brain surgery when in wrote my last post. That seems very likely. Off to do a heart transplant.

It is understandable really, Editis can be a tricky disorder to diagnose.

I can remember back when I discovered the disorder, my colleagues and I being quite excited to finally have a name for a personality trait.

Good luck with the heart transplant.

lol quite possibly, I think it's the avatar of Nobbi that puts me off, oops!

Don't hate on nobbi!

I actually like jade outside of her insane crush on Ed. Just having some fun. That being said she is not going to be a Rhodes Scholar.

I know I know, bringing this up after a while (sorry)
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind Jade, I liked her in the beginning and half way through the show. She's not my favourite but I DON'T hate her so please don't take this as a hate post from me.
At the beginning of the show I was posting a lot more than I am now but I've stopped posting as much because I've been spending most of my computing time researching Autism and Aspergers as my son is now in the beginning stages of being diagnosed with high functioning autism/Aspergers.
Last night while scrolling through the forum and reading lots of posts about Jade I started seeing a lot of similarities of people with aspergers so I did a search here to see if anyone else has suspected this and I found this thread.

What got me thinking is Jade's obsession with Ed. She's obsessed with Ed, too much that he is all she talks about with other people. She doesn't notice that they are getting bored with the subject and so keeps going on and on and on... She strictly follows rules and never breaks them - this goes more for adults on the spectrum than young kids. She avoids eye contact, When I see her speak to someone she's always looking somewhere else. Yes she sometimes does look people in the eye SOMETIMES but mainly she's looking somewhere else. She speaks in a monotone voice a lot.

People with Aspergers speak very well and have a good vocabulary. My son was slow to speak at first but now you cannot shut him up. And he is over confident. Not shy at all. Again, Aspergers is on the High functioning spectrum of autism, kids go to normal school, can have relationships at school and can end up getting married.

I suppose I will start getting the hate posts now.

I am so sick of forum armchair experts diagnosing people they have never met, who also happen to be highly edited on reality shows, with personality disorders.

I can't believe I wasted 45 seconds of my life - which I will never get back - reading that load of fucking nonsense.

I didnt diagnose her, I just stated the similarities.

Well considering there are similarities between you and a shit flinging baboon (given that you both have two arms, two legs and a heartbeat) I struggle to find your point.

It was just a passing thought and chose to share it, didn't once say she definitely has it and if she did what's so wrong with that? Its just my thought on how she comes across to ME. I am most probably wrong about it and Im sure I am but I am just giving my opinion on it as this is a PUBLIC forum and it is allowed.
You don't have to be so rude about it. I'm not bashing on Jade, in fact I did say I liked Jade, I'm not against her at all.
I don't see what's so bad about what I wrote if its just MY opinion.
I don't give a shit, call me all the names you want as it wont get to me, I dont care. I love animal, Baboons are cute :p

I think we knew there was a problem when Tim used Jade in place of her rock for nomination planning.

I dont agree. I did a lot of research into both Autism and Asperger's while waiting for my son to be diagnosed and she doesn't fit into either in my opinion.

I dont see what signs of it you guys are picking up on, feel free to explain as I would be interested to hear them.

Didn't jade say she has dyslexia?

She certainly seems to have the same struggles that I have, I wasn't actually diagnosed until I was an adult but I did have teachers at school let me get away with things they didn't let others get away with

I struggle to put my thoughts into words not that I can't read write or spell, it's just whether speaking or writing I stumble and use simple words and as you can see I use point form instead of paragraphs... Although using social media has helped a lot :)

Most people just see me as not being very intelligent, but my iQ is actually quite high

I've just noticed that jade seems to struggle a little and although can understand bigger, more complicated words she stumbles and mispronounces them

I certainly wouldn't diagnose her based on that but I thought it was something she had mentioned :/

I wrote what I picked up on about 4/5 posts up. Im also waiting for my son to be diagnosed. Though Im no expert, I also have been reading up on it a lot and I just noticed some similarities of the main things I've read. Though it does not mean she has it at all, BB just show what they want to show and its probably just a coincidence that what they show is some of the main symptoms. Obviously we dont get to see all of the real Jade so cant say it is for sure.

Yes she did. The talk has now moved to people thinking she also has Asperger's.

Ok I see it now. The issue is your basing your thoughts on other peoples opinions of Jade, not on Jade herself. I think she really likes Ed but besides some nifty editing (taken over a 12 hour time frame and crammed into 5 mins) I wouldn't say she is anymore obsessive towards Ed then most young girls with a crush. The eye contact thing I have only seen a few times and to me it seems more spacey/thinking/concentrating, which fits in the with fact she is dyslexic. She is too introverted for Asperger's and if you were placing her in either it would have to be autistic and she just doesn't have enough of the signs of it. I have seen no pattern/habit/compulsive traits in the house. She handles chance and surprises really well. She can tell when someone is upset and is pretty in tune with others emotions. She also understands what will and wont hurt someones feelings and besides one comment (in the hole thing) she has been pretty carefully about saying anything too insensitive besides a very general gossip/bitch with the others.

I mean I get how one thing here and there can bring on the idea but I think we could all find a thing or two that could possible link as to something in such a wide spectrum as Autism. :)
