Jade: "I don't know, I'd have to get to know him"

I NEED Ed to go. I can't stand Jade/Ed one more minute. I don't care how much the Ed family says "You just have to get to know him." We've been getting to know him. There is nothing there. It's only looks. He is not funny or charming ... he's a bad friend to Jade and this is the worst "romance" I've ever witnessed. If Jade continues with Ed after the show I give up all hope for her.

I think everybody is scratching their heads trying to figure out why Jade is after Mr. Ed. Nobody gets it. We just come up with theories ..... maybe she just wants somebody who seems stable ... maybe she's REALLY into looks .. maybe she's a gold digger .... Nobody understands it. And it really doesn't make sense.

This is how I have felt for a long time now. It does my head in and I've already lost all hope. It's not that I think she is a bad person, but I just don't see the point of ed or jade being there anymore. It is uncomfortable watching them tbh, one or the other has to go, preferably ed, but I will settle with either right now
 
Totally vain thing for her to say.
however, in her defence, even though I despise her, she may have meant it as a hypothetical situation, if she had just met ed and he was ugly, she would have to get to know him first.
The question should have been worded "if Ed got into a horribly unfortunate (snicker) accident and lost his face would she still love him?

Actually that just reminded me of that chick whose ex boyfriend threw acid at her face because he was furious that she didn't want to commit to him. I wonder if that guy was acting as desperate as jade before he did that. hmm Interesting.
 
If she was really in love, you'd think she she'd say something like "of course it's not just his looks, he's this, this and that." Or she would have just laughed. I don't know..something wasn't right about her reaction to that.

I honestly think jade wants to be saved from her life. I know there is a lot of talk that she is looking for love, and I used to think that, but I really think she doesn't like where her life is at, and needs a successful established man to save her from the life she doesn't want to live. She isn't happy with her life, feels like she has nothing going for her, doesn't know what to do with herself.
 
I think she misinterpreted the question and took it as meaning were you to meet again as opposed to where their relationship is at ATM.

Her response didn't make sense because they have been in there over 3 months and I think she know's Ed pretty well.

I think she just felt that she didn't have to justify herself to Tim, you could read her face expressions that she was wondering what game he was playing

Although I and most people don't think she's in love with him, I think she believes she is, lust is a strong emotion and she wouldn't be the first person in the world to confuse it with love
 
[MENTION=35834]Sweet_Geek[/MENTION] I've always wanted Ed to go first, but at this point I'm with you ... I don't even care. Just get rid of one of them. I still love Jade, but enough is enough. Hopefully Ed goes first, but if it's Jade then it's Jade. I just hope her friends and family wont wimp out and worry about hurting her feelings when talking to her about Ed. I don't want her feelings hurt, but a good friend will tell you the truth and help you out rather than ignoring it while you dig yourself deeper into a hole of misery.

Agreed, but in some way, she should know she loves Ed because of what he can give to her, and it's not just pure love. Therefore, she should have never told him ILY. So I don't commend her for 'wearing her heart on her sleeve' like some of her fans do. The way I saw it, telling him that and behaving the way she has is just reckless.

Yeah, she thinks love and marriage is the way to a happy life
She did say she wanted to find love in the house. I've read a few comments about her not having a great upbringing don't know how true it is but it could explain her desperate need to be loved

You make a lot of sense to me. I don't commend her for saying ily either, tat isn't wearing your heart on your sleeve to me. Like you said, it was reckless. She wants the idea of ed, not ed. she wants the lifestyle and the stability, so I feel the ily was her final hope in getting that with ed. I am really not trying to be rude, but that is how I feel.

I thi k her family and friends will rally around her and support her. They will be there to help her every step of the way. But like you said enough is enough, there is only so much some of us can take.

I do ope big brother has given her the exposure she wants for her career, but I hope she can learn a thing or two from her time in the house as well

I don't think it's her desperation to feel loved, I think it's desperation to be saved. But that's my opinion.

Word. It's really dragging down this last bit so badly, and I can't take it. And either/or is fine. I'd rather see Ed go, as a person, but the idea of Jade in there after he goes is sort of dreadful now, so pick your poison, I guess.

Everyone is different and variety is the spice of life and all that. I just find the focus on Ed's looks intriguing because his looks do absolutely nothing for me. I don't find him remotely attractive. And in the video of him with the beard I find him downright unattractive!

Lucky we are all different I guess. The Eds and Jades can find each other. And the rest of us don't have to be bothered too much by them.

Others in the house would argue nobody has gotten to know Ed. Jade was eager for Ed based on his looks alone, so claiming she used the same scrutiny as she would with UgEd is not reasonable.

Nothing wrong with liking attractive people but given Jade's looks herself she does not have to settle for a guy who has nothing but looks.

She started liking Ed after people started assigning him the name 'prince charming' which carries with it not only good looks but humble personality and everything you would look for in an ideal man - that is what she wants, it was never just an exterior. She's in love with the idea that Ed is a perfect guy. They all know each other to some degree but the 'game' factor is preventing them for fully expressing themselves. She was interested in the guys as soon as she came in - it was either Matt or Ed and she went for the "ideal man" and in her eyes, he is not just looks I can tell you that

I agree with you 100%!!! Jade is looking for a way out of her current situation. Her VT really said it all… She went from living in Italy with her wealthy boyfriend (penthouse, convertible) to living with her grandparents and working in a pub, she's miserable. She thinks Ed is her ticket to a new life - he's got a stable family, friends and career and lives in Melbourne. It would be nice Ed helped her move and get established in Melbourne if that's what she wants but I think she'd be better off making plans to move in with her new friends the sugar sisters or Madeleine and gain some independence.
