Jade: "I don't know, I'd have to get to know him"

On today's episode Drew hinted at Jade trying to 'get into Ed's lifestyle' - i.e. footballer's wife and the lifestyle that comes along with it. To be honest, she would dump Ed for someone more famous in a heartbeat. I would not be opposed to either Ed or Jade leaving this week.
And her knowledge of his reputation and financial stability. She did comment on that once when comparing Ed to Drew--a lowly student. For many women money and power can be as much as an aphrodisiac as looks are for men.

Yeah but drew is actually intelligent and will undoubtedly be more succesful in life than Ed. Ed has already peaked in life.

Jade would have to get to know him before she could like this "ugly" version of Ed, just like she had to hang around him to get to know the real version of Ed. There's a million threads out there all discussing things like this -.- continue the hating
Are you claiming Jade didn't start liking Ed until she really got to know him?

Others in the house would argue nobody has gotten to know Ed. Jade was eager for Ed based on his looks alone, so claiming she used the same scrutiny as she would with UgEd is not reasonable.

Nothing wrong with liking attractive people but given Jade's looks herself she does not have to settle for a guy who has nothing but looks.

Vacuous, superificial etc... it's what I've been saying all along since Week 2 about Jade. Why does it take this long for people to wake up about someone like Jade? Bimbettes like her are so transparent, I can spot them a mile away instantly.

Were people expecting a smart response from Jade?

Also, how vomit-inducing was it when Jade played "little brother" and asked Ed about saying "I love you" and said "you have a chance to say it now".

Ed is her ideal type in terms of physical appearance - good looks and great bod.. wow! She sees Ed as her King of Hearts, her Jack of Diamonds.. unfortunately, she's just one of Ed's deck of cards...

Good one!

Oh yeah, that was hideous! Trying to force him to say ILY. Sad, sad, sad.

This thread is as stupid as Tims question...

Although i do believe that after getting to know someone and being attracted to their personality the physical attraction that wasn't there initially can develop. The truth is our initial attraction to someone is physical. That's not shallow it's just the way we work.

That was painful to watch lol

once they get out of the house they can talk much more freely and get to know each other, without BB puting their words alomg the bottom of the screen. they may or may not last, heck marriages dont last , the world will continue if they dont stay together.

I don't think the question is if they will last or not, i think it's more like should Ed take out an AVO

I thought it was anti-Jade editing, but even the other HMs have been talking about it

She was head over heels over Ed almost from the moment the fake marriage task was over. She's been in there for 3 months and there's very little personality Ed has demonstrated whilst in the house, or at least for his sake I hope there's more to him that what we've seen.

Yet the girl appears to be deeply in love with him but based on what exactly? It's pretty obvious that after all this time her infatuation is based solely on his looks and nothing else. Tim was absolutely spot on about her, there's nothing of substance (Ed probably by choice, Jade not so much she's just a shallow airhead) about either so it's only fitting that they're stuck with each other.

I think she's probably just never been in love, she thinks she is....she's definitely in lust and that's how the best relationships start. But only when two people feel the same about each other lol

Which proves Tim's point to a T, she would never in a million years look twice at Ed if he didn't have the pretty muscles he has. She's without question a dumb shallow bimbette and gets no sympathy from me.

And Drew was actually into Jade in the beginning, imagine if she was into him... Talk about dodging a bullet.

It's funny, I think Tully is like THE perfect girl now, but when I first saw her I just saw an attractive girl and not much else.
Not until I saw what she was like did the obsessed, stalker in the bushes attraction form.

M aybe Ed is just one of Jade's deck of cards. She's no dumb blonde. All the romances always get good coverage on BB, so by "being in love" with Ed is her game plan. Noticed how quick she latched on to Ed after Matt left? Take one good looking girl and one good looking bloke, "be in love" (notice Ed has'nt said the L word back?) and great t.v. People will want to watch them whether or not they end up together after the show.

I'm really sorry nearumc, but these comments about Jade being strategic in her obsession with Ed infuriate me. She is so clearly as dumb as she portrays, she has no confidence, no talent, she took a leave of absence from her beer pulling at the Ballina back town pub and is hoping for a free shot at fame - given there is nothing else going on for her.. She doesn't have the SMALLEST fraction of ability to pull off a strategic move - not one iota. These theories do my head in - are you guys WATCHING the SHOW!?

I have no doubt she's dumb, and I think it her stupidity comes from some desperate need to be loved.
But just because she's physically attracted to someone, doesn't make her shallow. To think that's love just makes her nieve and inexperienced.

Back in my days of hunting for men with my friends it was the initial physical attraction that made us approach a man, that's just human nature

lol I never thought she was attractive I thought she was just a blubbering mess, but since leaving the house she doesn't seem so bad

I have to admit when I see an attractive man now I automatically assume there's not much substance there lol, but I still wouldn't give someone I consider to be ugly the time of day. I don't view that as shallow, it's just that to have a relationship with someone you need to be attracted to them physically and mentally

There doesn't seem to be much substance to Ed but I don't think there's much to jade either so who's to say she's not attracted to his nothingness lol
