Is Priya the most considerate housemate?

Anything that doesn't involve a circle jerk around a shrine of Priya.

Seriously, I've been enjoying most of it, especially lately with the whole singing task. Watching the house get along and do funny/stupid shit is great.

I think there is a place for Priya, where most of the footage we see of her is in the diary room analysing the house, but I just don't see how you can value a housemate when that is all they do.

She does more, just like Ryan, David, Leo, and Marina do. They just don't meet the criteria of BB standards.
Skye is probably the only one there who knows how to grab the cameras attention. From annoying people to her multitude of love interests. Does two count as a multitude? :)

What I find annoying is that a bland character like Priya gets heat for having fans while a previously non existent Ryan gets 38% in saves.
Though, I also enjoyed the music challenge and am glad he stayed after that even if he is after Priya.

Just wondering, could "Prisus" be offensive given the likelihood of Priya being a Hindu? Any Hindu fans want to weigh in?

I think she considerate but I wouldn't say she is the most considerate... There is also David. David has become very aware of his actions and words in that house since that incident with Lisa and her boobs. Priya is certainly down to earth and she confides in the diary room first and foremost instead of another housemate. Maybe that's how she's staying sane, there's no backchat on a confession in the diary room and she is guaranteed to get sound advice froom BB if she ever asks for it.

I hope she makes it to the final, she certainly calms me down when I watch her. It's an escape from the circus that takes place in the BB house. I find myself wishing I had her as a friend.

haha that's come to be expected from her on these forums (oops him). :D
Madonna's not being a smart ass. BasTyra was letting you know that Constanza was by saying the title should've been condescending instead of considerate. Madonna's being serious (and is correct, of course).

@Beebeebee Priya's family LOVES the whole Prisus thing so I figure if they don't have a problem with it I can't imagine why anyone else should be concerned.

Yes she is.

But there is no genuine feelings behind her sympathy. As she said she's narcissistic, she's smart and knows exactly how to adapt to every situation.

She is merely running through the mechanics of what it's like to be compassionate, but there is no heart behind it.

That's a bold assumption.

So you're basically calling her a sociopath.

k.

Priya:
  • Hasn't made anybody cry
  • Hasn't been nasty or rude about any particular Housemate
  • Showing Gemma support when nobody else would've
  • Comforting Skye and Aisha
  • Warning Jason that everybody knows he's an eavesdropper and gossip
  • Taking Sandra to the Sanctuary rather than a close friend
  • Comforting Marina when her dog passed away
When people say somebody "deserves" to win it's usually for the wrong reasons; either they've been wronged and it's for revenge, or they're elevating themselves at the cost of others.

I think it's lovely to have a housemate who has exhibited kindness and compassion without making a big deal about it, rather than someone who reaps the rewards of being passive aggressive or because they're a special little snowflake, as we see far too often on this show.

Excuse me while I just wipe up the coffee that exploded out of my nose.

Priya is only seen to "show support" and "comfort" other housemates when she wants to know what's going on. I would only want comfort from a friend, not from someone who is friend to nobody.

In warning everyone about Jason, all she was trying to get brownie points from the other housemates. She was later happy to reap the benefits of Jason's information-gathering.

Taking Sandra to the Sanctuary was the only nice thing she ever did, and we'll probably find out what her underhand reason was for that, as well.

[...] It's all well and good to be intelligent, calm and strategic.....

I don't think she's any more intelligent than any of the others. Using biggish words, being a teacher, and making 'speculative' diary entries do not intelligence make. Let's see some real smart (and entertaining) moves.

Amen to all of that! Awesome HM, love her views or not, she's 100% herself - mature, thoughtful, articulate, interesting.

She meant 'narcissistic' in the colloquial sense, not the clinical. You're welcome.

Priya gives zero shits for anyone except for herself, she will throw all her 'friends' under the bus without a second thought. She is selfishness personified.
