Is Priya the most considerate housemate?

MADONNA

Priya:
  • Hasn't made anybody cry
  • Hasn't been nasty or rude about any particular Housemate
  • Showing Gemma support when nobody else would've
  • Comforting Skye and Aisha
  • Warning Jason that everybody knows he's an eavesdropper and gossip
  • Taking Sandra to the Sanctuary rather than a close friend
  • Comforting Marina when her dog passed away
When people say somebody "deserves" to win it's usually for the wrong reasons; either they've been wronged and it's for revenge, or they're elevating themselves at the cost of others.

I think it's lovely to have a housemate who has exhibited kindness and compassion without making a big deal about it, rather than someone who reaps the rewards of being passive aggressive or because they're a special little snowflake, as we see far too often on this show.

I'm a bit sceptical about Priya- I think a lot of her 'altruism' comes from self-interest and getting people on side to further her chances in the game.

I don't mind her and I don't think this is a bad tactic. I just don't believe she's as angelic as some people believe. She knows what's she doing and has a good following both within and outside the house- she has kept both camps happy

What do you consider entertaining in the house at the moment?
Anything that doesn't involve a circle jerk around a shrine of Priya.

Seriously, I've been enjoying most of it, especially lately with the whole singing task. Watching the house get along and do funny/stupid shit is great.

I think there is a place for Priya, where most of the footage we see of her is in the diary room analysing the house, but I just don't see how you can value a housemate when that is all they do.

I'm sure she really is a very nice person, but isn't part of her strategy to not step on any toes? I get the feeling that she's biting her tongue quite a bit; she's very sly, but not very brave.

I also think she'd throw any one of them under the bus to further her chance of winning the cash.

I may be wrong, but I think - at least in part - she's being considerate because it's convenient.

I'm really enjoying watching Priya play the game. I don't think she will win, though, which is a shame because she's been playing it so well I think she deserves it. I kinda hope she gets HOH for the rest of the game lol. I do agree, for all her strategy she has been pretty considerate of others while in there. It's admirable.
She needs to get picked on by someone, then she will be a sure winner ;P

Priya provides more insight into the the other Housemates than channel 9's editing do themselves at times. When she is discussing something with other housemates, she is usually on point. I'm glad she is mature and articulate enough to convey her feelings without being judgmental.

The build up during the singing task was fun, the actual performance however...

It seems that your opinion of Priya is formed on externalities rather than the content.

She has lasted far longer than anybody thought she would've. People have hated her since day 1 because she wanted to take the $10k.

Katie should be thankful she was paired with her.

I don't deny that my resistance against Priya is largely formed by the nauseating fandom she gets here. I mean, someone's got to be on the other side.

But I said this since the first week when she got the power play. It's all well and good to be intelligent, calm and strategic..... but it's boring TV. I mean, I can definitely commend it, I think she's played some parts very well, and it's very much how I'd approach being in the BB house..... but it's still boring as hell.

In terms of entertainment value, she's probably sitting only ahead of Leo and Marina, the two intruders. She'd be more interesting than Aisha, if Aisha wasn't in a relationship with Travis.

If we were talking about who deserves to win based off kindness, then Jason has been robbed getting evicted last night. Shit, at least he's provided more laughs too.

So being nasty and group mentality should be revered and rewarded?

Actually I think most of the group mentality stuff and segregation has come from Priya. I used to think it came from Sam and Sandra but Priya has made it obvious lately she's been really trying to push for the two groups. Not saying that's a bad thing, she's absolutely done a smart thing by wanting to keep herself in a group with the most popular HMs so the other side can get picked off. Problem is though you can't always predict who is more popular on the outside and she's probably a bit nervous at the moment given Ryan got most saved last week and her right hand man in Jason was evicted which she obviously didn't expect.

Oh yep, for sure. The way she was carrying on the kitchen when Travis got back.... lol.

The thing I was addressing more was the actual herd mentality shown by Lisa & Friends against David or Ryan, David and Sandra against Skye last week, etc.

I don't think she would engage in this kind of behaviour and I don't think she has.

(sorry it's hard to concentrate I am in a skype meeting with my lecturer and group pretending to do work on camera lel)

To be honest I can't think of a single entertaining Housemate because the editing has been so skewed towards Scatson and Trasha.

And the 'nauseating fandom' isn't bigger or louder than any other particular group here, it's just a lot more distinctive.
