Priya wants to win so she is doing things to ensure she has the best chances. What is so wrong with that?
It's a joke Brent and an Australian of Indian origin is what she is, that's nothing to be ashamed of.what does being Indian have to do with anything? so irritating to bring up race when it isn't necessary.
lol thank you! "oh no guys let's hate her because she's playing the game" pffft. God forbidPriya wants to win so she is doing things to ensure she has the best chances. What is so wrong with that?
There ya go again! HahahaIt's a joke Brent and an Australian of Indian origin is what she is, that's nothing to be ashamed of.
If you think me pointing out in a tongue-in-cheek post was an insult that you're the one with the problem not me.
Just thought I had to have a balanced opinion on Priya as @MADONNA keeps starting new Priya threads that can easily be put into her appreciated thread.
So is Priya over-rated this year? who is to blame?[/QUOT

I think Priya overrates herself for a start.
Well said Incognito.Honestly, all these Priya 'qualities' smack of insincere. Gemma's eviction moment, while sweet, was definitely a strategic move. She knew it would show her in a good light. Her 'comforting' housemates often seems an empty gesture; her words are so hollow because she says the most basic, cookie-cutter phrases that have no sincerity or depth. I find her guarded and unimpressive. Going to the diary room and airing your observations of the housemates is pretty pointless when your interactions with them are so uninspiring.
She's also two-faced, and a liar and I can't stand that (exhibit A: Aisha's $20,000 power play). If she came straight out and said she didn't give a phuck and was playing the game, then I'd have more respect for her. But she tries to also act like she is a sincere person, and that's just hypocritical.
I never got the Priya fuss. I feel like she is contributing nil to the house.
Going where? I'm simply taking issue with someone insinuating I'm 'bigoted' when I was simply being facetious and poking fun at her and her fans. Am I not allowed to defend myself from such a silly ridiculous accusation? There ya go again! Hahaha
It's always the readers fault with you.Going where? I'm simply taking issue with someone insinuating I'm 'bigoted' when I was simply being facetious and poking fun at her and her fans. Am I not allowed to defend myself from such a silly ridiculous accusation?![]()
So seriously think I was being racist for merely pointing out her ethnicity. It's always the readers fault with you.
It's the attitude in the responses. Doesn't matter. I like Con, I really do. 99% of the time I enjoy reading your posts. So seriously think I was being racist for merely pointing out her ethnicity.
Ok then. lol

Well people usually people don't take too kindly when someone totally misconstrue an innocent joke and implies that there was something more sinister to a fairly innocuous comment.
I've seen that you've reacted similarly (defensively) when other posters have done the same to you but I think you're totally within your rights to explain yourself, don't see that as displaying 'attitude' at all. *shrugs*
In my defense Priya has being quite happy in emphasizing her Indian background herself and her fans have made used of her ethnicity and played on that aspect of her character in their support of her as well.![]()
What I (try) not to do is retort with "you read me wrong, that means the issue is with you."
However I might just be (unfairly) placing expectation or standards on you which you simply don't hold. So I apologise.

This quote from a poster in another forum sums up nicely my feelings about Prizus:
Amen!
In other word Prizus is not the Messiah, she's another one of those very naughty Indian girls with delusions of grandeur. *tut tut*![]()
That's the one! I ad libbed just for good measure.I didn't get it at first, but am I right in guessing that this is a reference to Monty Python's Life Of Brian?
"He's not the Messiah, he's just a very naughty boy!"
One of my favourite lines from arguably the funniest movie ever made.
And a very apt quote.

And I included Priya's ethnicity to emphasize that we were dealing with a false prophet masquerading as the genuine article, it was not meant to be derogatory in some way that escapes me.![]()
