Is Ed being faithful to...

I don't think she has that attitude, it's actually the opposite. She think he is too good for her, she believes he has his shit together while she has too many issues. I'm pretty sure it was 'prince charming' that kept visiting her while she was in the halfway house. He made the first move and then got scared because it would ruin his game plan. If only he was more honest about his feelings instead of playing games with her emotions he would have had a better chance. She also gave him a chance to pull away but he then again made the first move in that first Feast night.
 
I don't like how on the blog they posted that Ed deserves to be in the house. Why would he deserve it over anybody else? To be honest he seems like the least deserving because he brings nothing to the show. He is boring. And he doesn't seem to want to get to know anybody on the show. He seems like he thinks he's a bit above them all. Jade tries to be friends with him and he hangs her out to dry then gets mad when she's saved.

I hope when the show is over he realizes that the girl he thinks is not popular was actually very popular and was the ONLY reason he stayed so long. And I hope Jade realizes Ed's true colors and forgets about him finally. She was quite a good sport about him putting her up even though I could never see her putting up a friend. Not yet at least.

You've taken the words out of my mouth UAN as this is exactly how I feel in regards to Jade and I'm genuinely puzzled that people out there watching the show have any sort of sympathy for her.

The girl has entitlement issues, she thinks she's above the average 'pretty' girl and wont' settle for any old sap that crosses her path. No sireee, that's not good enough for little old Jade.

She has to have Ed, the one annointed 'prince charming' by just about every female in the house which is also what partly fuels her desire to hook up with him as her 'standing' will surely rise (in her eyes anyway) by hooking up with the unequivocally most desirable male in the house.

Sadly that's how many superficial females think in the real world and it appears Jade falls under that category as well. She knows she has what it takes to snare a guy of that 'calibre' and will not relent until she has achieved what's rightfully hers, nothing less will suffice for little old Jade.

The girl might come across as 'insecure' at times and frequently voice self-deprecating thoughts or low self-esteem but that's all relative at the end of the day. I mean who doesn't? Psychopaths are probably the only ones who don't have self doubts. She has standards and for her there would be many guys who just don't exist (read: invisible) simply because they don't measure up to her 'standards'.
 
I don't think he cares for Jade at all. He was just nice to her after he put her up to keep up the nice guy appearance.

I think people are taking my comments about her attitude like it's a more directed deliberate bitchy thing. She is upset because he doesn't want her, where it's such an issue because she doesn't understand how he possibly couldn't. That's where her insecurity is. She has such a high opinion of herself, that she takes everything massively hard when life isn't handed to her on a plate. Does the whole, 'woe is me' but the core is she can't understand how she can't get everything she wants.

There has to come a point when you need to have a bit of respect for yourself. How do you perceive a guy who constantly hits on a girl, the girl rebuffs his advances? However the girl is not a total up herself bitch and likes the guy as a friend and so she doesn't have the moral fortitude to tell him to piss off and on and on goes the cycle.

There has to be a point when the guy has to get a clue and move on, he's not 12 years and it should eventually dawn on him the reality of the situation. I have witnessed this scenario many times over and there's very little sympathy for the guy, in fact they're usually labeled as lame half-witted losers.

It's the same with jade, obviously she likes ed but she can't be that desperate and stupid and not clue in to the fact that ed is just not that 'into' her or at least as something more than an easy root to be disposed of the next morning which I doubt is what she's after.

I feel there's a double standards here because jade's a girl, ed should be either an arsehole and tell her to piss off or cave in to her demands, ed can't win either way. I'm sorry but jade deserves no sympathy from where I'm standing, grow a brain sweetheart (referring to jade).
 
I like the soldier boy who was prepared to defend his (our) country. Ed is a total tool. The man is very weak with no guts. He brings nothing to the show except a bit of muscle. I find it interesting the way he keeps hiding his mouth with his hands. What is this bloke hiding. IS HE GAY and does not want to admit it. No votes for ED this week..let him loose.

i quite like jade..but i think you're bang on. i think if she was truly insecure, she'd feel really embarrassed as soon as ed would show signs he doesn't want to be with her and she'd never try anything again. i think 'lacking self respect' is a more accurate way to describe it.

Because he wanted jade in there along with him hoping that she's more likely to get less votes than him. He has no romantic interest in her whatsoever and that's what ed fears most, leading jade on in front of the voting public, something that could affect his perception on the outside and thus his chances of winning. Woul he sleep with jade? Perhaps but it would not amount to anything more than a booty call.

When he selected Jade he really didn't think it through. He picked her because he thought of her as a weak competitor. But what he failed to consider at the time is that there is a week between nominations and the eviction - a week during which Jade's popularity increases and his decreases. He seemed to realize the dynamic later but there is no real tactical way to correct his mistake. Saving Jade just strengthened this dynamic.

So Ed is angry because he's a poor decision maker, because he's not very bright, and because he's a coward.
 
Woah, I am behind the times but I was perusing this thread and most intrigued by the "Win a Date" controversy, that is hilarious. But I went on the FB and I actually know the girl who purportedly won! She is a pretty big BB fan & seems to always win competitions, I don't know if she knows Ed in real life though. Unfortch I am too embarrassed to admit that I saw her as the winner and ask if it is legit, especially since its been a few years since we last spoke.

It sure looks suss as hell though.

Hahah IKR, they've pulled the good old 'double date' with Ed today because he's up for eviction. They really are in full desperation mode and tbh I can't blame them - likely he'll go on Monday. :)

Are you friends with the winner on Facebook? If so, how about having a look to see if she's friends with any of the Lowers? It looks so dodgy.., they've now even admitted it in their new competition, saying that they will be running it with strict guidelines as they are aware they didn't do the other competition very well and apologised.. I think they realised they can't get away with trying fool the fans, as one of the commenters said.

I'm not facebook friends with her, but we do have quite a few mutual friends so I can at the very least view her friends list - which seems to be something others can't do. She doesn't have any friends with the surname Lower, but I am still crazy suss on it. Maybe she just knows, say, Nick, and he has those weird privacy settings that prevent him from appearing in other peoples friends list (I know this is a thing, but I don't know who to do it).

We will see how their next one plays out. Did they really think they could pull one over BB fans? They should know how obsessive we can get!
 
OMG! They're running a new comp on the FB page and its a 'DOUBLE DATE'. To enter you have to prove that you've spent at least $50 voting for Ed! ROFL ROFL ROFL LOL LOL LOL LMAO LMAO LMAO - DESPERATE!
They really are trying to pull every trick in the bag. They probably read all the negative comments about him and know that he is in definite danger....
Also I believe that the reason that Ed doesn't want to get into a relationship inside the house is so this whole 'plan' of dating can work. Thats probably why his sister said no relationship in the house for Ed because he was probably informed about what they were going to do. The FB page commented that 'Ed is looking for a girlfriend' to someone speculating if they were doing this with Ed's permission. It makes perfect sense for if he were to get into a relationship inside the house then it would completely fail and desperate woman voting to save him and get this 'opportunity' would lose interest.
I think if they didn't restrict him or limit him from getting into a relationship then he would be much more interesting and who knows what could've happened between him and Jade. They don't realise how much impact Jade has on making Ed 'slightly' interesting, the whole chasing after him is the whole reason why some people even bother about him.
Very smart plan but poorly executed! Definitely thought put into this and he is a PLAYER!

If that bloody $50 thing is true I swear to cripes I'm going to hammer Nick on Twitter. I already did after his Karl thing and almost did again when he went after Teresa Palmer and I saw Xavier saying to vote for Ed after hanging out with Nick but I decided to simmer down. But seriously... spend $50 to maybe win a date with Ed???? That's disgusting.
