oh well guess that was their best plan, though i doubt that it would help. If it's not going against bb rules and if people want to enter with those terms that's their choice. Could potentially put people off. What about the Ed fans who would have voted for him, but now feel like their votes aren't appreciated if they spend less then the $50 requirement!

Doubt it would actually encourage any one to spend that much money vote on him though, guessing just be those who would have spent that much anyway who will enter - if they are bothered. And would enough people even see the competition for it to make any difference in the first place.

They really are trying to pull every trick in the bag. They probably read all the negative comments about him and know that he is in definite danger....
Also I believe that the reason that Ed doesn't want to get into a relationship inside the house is so this whole 'plan' of dating can work. Thats probably why his sister said no relationship in the house for Ed because he was probably informed about what they were going to do. The FB page commented that 'Ed is looking for a girlfriend' to someone speculating if they were doing this with Ed's permission. It makes perfect sense for if he were to get into a relationship inside the house then it would completely fail and desperate woman voting to save him and get this 'opportunity' would lose interest.
I think if they didn't restrict him or limit him from getting into a relationship then he would be much more interesting and who knows what could've happened between him and Jade. They don't realise how much impact Jade has on making Ed 'slightly' interesting, the whole chasing after him is the whole reason why some people even bother about him.
Very smart plan but poorly executed! Definitely thought put into this and he is a PLAYER!

yeh i read the fb comment and they said they discussed it with him before he went in, so it was definitely planned.

I agree, they made a bad choice planning this before Ed went in, and it was probably what has held him back from being himself in the house and why I have never noticed him until when he put Jade up for nomination! He possibly would have done a lot better on his own and not been at the best odds for eviction now, if he didn't restrict his relationships inside the house because of this plan and overdo the prince charming act that just made him so boring.
 
I think they are lying about having it planned it beforehand.

The story changed from 'He said we can do what ever we like. Plus knowing Ed he'd be more happy to meet fans', to 'Don't worry, we discussed this with him before he went in the house. He is looking for a girlfriend so he is happy to do this'

Big change in story! Also note the change from meeting fans to finding a girlfriend. Shows how desperate they are getting. Ugh, for some reason this really grinds my gears! I hope this skeezy plan doesn't save him. I would spend $50 to NOT go on a date with that plank of wood. /endrant
 
This leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Not that I was ever rooting for Ed, but this has turned me right off.

I suppose they are freaking out at his terrible % and know he is as good as gone, and desperate times call for bloody desperate measures.

I don't like Ed's attitude to Jade. He is sending her mixed signals... definitely not a gentleman. If this were outside the house, he would have done a f**k and run already...

I just want him out. Mr Clooney is more interesting than he is.



Also, Ed's family sound like a horrible bunch. How shameful.

There has to be a point when the guy has to get a clue and move on, he's not 12 years and it should eventually dawn on him the reality of the situation. I have witnessed this scenario many times over and there's very little sympathy for the guy, in fact they're usually labeled as lame half-witted losers.

It's the same with jade, obviously she likes ed but she can't be that desperate and stupid and not clue in to the fact that ed is just not that 'into' her or at least as something more than an easy root to be disposed of the next morning which I doubt is what she's after.

I feel there's a double standards here because jade's a girl, ed should be either an arsehole and tell her to piss off or cave in to her demands, ed can't win either way. I'm sorry but jade deserves no sympathy from where I'm standing, grow a brain sweetheart (referring to jade).

It doesn't bother me how Jade acts, she's acting like someone her age and everyone had liked someone quite obviously the way she has.
You write this with no mention of Ed, when someone likes me....I'm quite up front about it and I avoid them for a few days....Ed cant string two sentences together about it.

As for Drew, Jade dropped a number of friend zone hints, the biggest being Drew is 'like a brother' to her.....Jade is far more up front with Drew than Ed with Jade.
After viewing the bizarre antics of Ed's family, I'm not sure what is going on...but the guy is gutless and weak and offers nothing to the house, Jade has relationships with most of the housemates....without Ed she would shine more.
 
The boys are getting away with what jade lets them get away with in the first place. Some of the onus of the current situation has to be on jade, in fact I'd argue most of it is as she initiates the bulk of the interactions and is clearly the most interested party out of the 2.

She's forcing the issue between her and ed, not ed. Ed is barely holding out because of his physical attraction to her and not to appear to be an uncaring arsehole to the voting public. But a romantic relationship with jade is most definitely not in any of his plans.

I've said before and I'll say it again we're not talking about some vulnerable 12 year old girl here. The world is often a cruel place and if you're a slow learner well....it can be even crueler. No sympathy for stupid for me though, not in these instances.

There's something about jade that's let her to deluded herself that she will eventually seduce ed and once she does succeed he'll fall for her hard and live happily ever after. :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Yes! That's what I was thinking. Ultimately BB decided that wasn't cheating or a breach of any rules as there was nothing preventing any other HMs from doing the same/similar things. So, I suppose on that proviso, it isn't cheating...? It's just irritating, to me.
 
I've heard that his family is a bit iffy. Especially Ed's sister who I've heard from users here that she talks down Jade a lot. Can anyone provide links to her twitter or anything?
 
Who would want a date with Ed.

You would have a better conversation with a rock.
