Episode I'm A Celebrity! AU (2018) - Episode Discussion

There is good and bad in everyone.

The ugly is reserved for real dicks. I reckon I have always been able to differentiate in my mind those who are on the show for fun experience and perhaps a bit of exposure as to those who flat out do it for the cash or to cash in on the catchet of being on national tv 4 times a week. I dont have to like the person or even be one of my faves as long as they are themselves.
Truthfully, what we get is only a small aperture into who these people are.
But i guess its why we are here. To peek thru the slit for some mindless fun and entertainment rather than any serious character assessment.

My birthday is Australia Day. I haven’t celebrated it for about 15 years. I loathe the way the bogans have appropriated it. I refuse to go out, so that I don’t see idiots dressed in the flag or in their cars flying their Chinese flags.
Just another day here to catch up with family. Chinese flags? Never seen them, at any time of year, on cars, buildings, people.

Yes. And the ugly are the ones who tell others they're wrong, or they should dress the way they say all the while crying "we wus robbed"
My opinion on Mundine has not changed.

Highlight of the show now is Ron and Brenda! Peter and Fiona are so likable.

Kerry seems to be trying a bit hard to stir the pot with her stories and opinions.

I appreciated Tiffany's emancipation story, I knew about that at the time but it's good to hear her explain it.

Chris and Julia's last appearance, with Julia almost stumbliong over her f-words, was hilarious.

Also, it disappoints me when they earn a decent amount of stars and are rewarded with inedible food. Seriously, who is it that gets off on seeing celebrities eating gunk? It's their meal, not a funny little challenge, so give them something better than liver wrapped in fat!

...oh dear Tiffany... please don't pike out on the challenge sweet girl... if you do will be be the first voted out!... just... do... it!... cheers.

She mentioned that she specifically discussed not doing heights. If she does have an actual phobia then they're being unfair expecting her to do it. It's not like this is going to revive her career, so it's not worth risking her personal safety (not just physical but mental).

...hi Kingston... it's great to see you... so basically Shannon is talking total shit eh?... I touched on this earlier and said that I think that after Kerry Armstrong had been telling a few of her Hollywood stories with high ranking celebrities that perhaps Shannon was trying a bit of 'one-up manship' by using Simon Cowell's name (as if he was more famous or something?) in order to make himself sound more of a somebody of importance in my opinion...

...all of Kerry's stories sound legitimate to me because she seems to be telling her stories not to impress people but to just pass the time away to me... methinks that Shannon started feeling overshadowed by Kerry and then blurted out that whopper of a story as far as I'm concerned... I thought that his 'story' sounded pretty suss from the beginning... I don't particularly like the guy at all to be honest... cheers.

I'm not saying the story isn't legit... It's more Shannon's ego that got me... His version was a cover and the song was popular before he recorded it... Also the fact that it was the winner of The X Factor not the runner that recorded the song after him...

I agree, I wouldn't have eaten it either.

Mundine & Jackie worked hard for those stars, so deserved something better than liver in fat.

I would say she did.

I remember Steve Price saying on The Project after he was booted, that they ask for your phobias & he said he knew they would use it against him, so he said he wrote down a few real phobias & a few fake ones & they used every phobia he mentioned.

He said one of the trials he did with another celebrity both had the same phobia, but this one was a fake phobia for him but real for the other celebrity.

He did say he told the others about the fake phobia after the trial, but that didn't go to air. (so he beat Alex at his own game) lol

The ratings for the show have gone down 200k ever since Danny Green entered the show. I think all of this focus on Mundine vs Green is putting viewers off, ever since Green came in that seems to be 90% of the show’s content and funnily enough that’s when the ratings started falling.

I shouldn’t be surprised considering the main producer on the show, Alex Mavroidakis, is the same guy that ran Big Brother into the ground on Channel Nine.
