Swan was always pretty refreshing in interviews. He used to basically mock the grandiosity of the event of football in interviews. He just wanted to play.
Footy broadcasters learned quickly he wasnt always going to play the game of stock question stock answer.
Which was great to see amongst a morass of footy players all schooled to say the correct words down to the accuracy of learning a shakespearean speech.
Alas. Not many footy players know who Shakespeare is.
