...when we were kids I used to wait until my little brother had just fallen asleep and would sneak over to his bed and crunch potato chips in my mouth as loud as I could right into his ear to piss him off lol!... my dad gave me a belting once when I did it... I deserved it... I was a little bastard of a kid... cheers.

Antagonistic chip eating doesn't sound bad enough for a belting, I'm thinking that was the last straw of brotherly bastardry.
I got smacked once for waving a chocolate royal under my sister's nose when she was doing the 40 hr famine, lol

...he's been my best mate nearly all of our lives (since I was 14 years old onwards)... my sister too... we are a very close knit family... especially since our parents passed away even more so... cheers.
