Episode I'm A Celebrity! AU (2016) - Episode Discussion

I am LOVING Fev and Anthony, they're like a couple of naughty schoolboys. The reactions of most of the campmates to the deception wasn't too extreme, apart from Havana who was giving the death stare.
Did not need to see the Fev's nether regions though.

Bit disappointed that Laurina gave up, but I agree with everyone who said Val is an almighty pain in the arse. It's gone beyond the point where it was amusing, and is now like some cantankerous old neighbour you'd duck down under the fence to avoid.

It's official : Dean not only has no personality but no sense of humour either. I didn't steal Val's awnderpahnts.
Still, I got a laugh out of him being on pewh pahtrol.
 
Is Val the oldest to appear in our versions? I mean Janice Dickinson could have been 170 years old for all we know. Probably had embalming shots off camera.
Val is canterkerous. As i guess most would be at that age in the jungle.
Im just loving some of her scowls which directly take me back to Prisoner when she reserved those scowls for those who were about to get the linen press treatment.:p

no you are right ... she stripped off a teeshirt and some sort of jacket/harness (probably had techie bits attached to her for camera and mic)... but she would have always intended to do that ... to give us a show

im going to call you out about Laurina winning those stars ... without Vals directions AND telling her before and during the task to just get on with it she wouldn't have won any

now when she says she doesnt want to do anything i just roll my eyes ... its all an act

the thing she most worried about in that trial was the stuff falling down from above randomly ... im thinking there might have been crew up above gleefully dancing around kicking dirt down the vents knowing it was scaring the crapola out of her
 
is noone going to comment on Laurina's great aspirations as a 19 year old?

Gangster meal ticket ... looking for the easy life ... god how stupid and naive ... and how telling of her character that she still bothers to tell that story

she complains that others dont join in with the story telling but they need time to get their eyeballs back from rollback position and pick their jaws off the jungle floor

the boyfriend better have deep appreciative pockets ... or she'll move on to the next high roller ... why cant men spot this sort a mile off??

I love the bromance happening between Anthony and Brendan... You're right just like those mischievous school boys, that secretly teachers really do love their antics lol. It's no secret that despite Anthony having his bitchy moments, I have enjoyed him and still much a fan. I think fev has had a good effect on him though and takes him away from being too bitchy if that makes sense. I really do like this duo. How funny were their comments during tanning? Lol.

I think she told that story to show that there was a time when she was stupid, and that since then her goals and self worth grew. I really do think she was hoping to have the group open up and just be silly and laugh amongst each other. I honestly did not take what she said so seriously, but just her way of making fun of her situation and possible white lie to add lightness.
 
I don't think laurina saying she can't do it is an act, those were genuine tears coming from her during that task, and she really was shaking. She also said that had it not been for val she didn't think she could do it, so she praised val for being the one to guide her. I liked that, and thought it was a good show of character from laurina. I also liked that val was calm and praised larina during the task, it did help her to keep pushing on IMO. Sort of like when teachers praise and students feel compelled to try harder.

That's the only part I didn't like. She seemed supportive and told laurina she should be proud of herself afterwards in front of the hosts, but then went two faced and put her down later on. If people think that Laurina is putting on an act being freaked out by challenges but then does well, so therefore must be playing the public, then I'd say val is putting on act just as much.

I actually thought the same about Laurina but now you mention it, Val does display some of the characteristics of Aspergers but I'm always loathe to pin medical labels on people as I have no qualifications, except being an Aspie myself. I think it's why I identify with and gravitate to Laurina. as I see so much of me in her actions and reactions and now you've mentioned Val...yes...I can also see similarities there.
People have been jumped on for voicing their opinion about such postulating in the past (happened in dicussions about David Hodis, I believe) but it's not done with malice...just an observation, as I said.

I agree, it was just a silly story she told. She was being self deprecating and laughing at her own naivety.
 
Did anyone else find the new rules Anthony made up really controlling? The girls aren't allowed to decide between themselves who does breakfast/lunch/dinner dishes?

Also who hasn't done the dishes yet? It seems to only be the boys. Shane hasn't, Brendan hasn't, neither has Anthony or Paul. Seems a little convenient to just be by chance :P
 
So I was at the hairdressers today and reading one of the gossip magazines. Can't remember which one. Don't know if any of it is true but There was a 2 page spread about how Jo Beth and Fev had an affair a while ago and Alex (ex wife/wife) is upset that they are in the jungle together.

Also mentioned is that Alex did dancing with the stars at the same time as Jo Beth and was ready to forgive Jo Beth until they were at a get together related to the show and people were naming their worst roots of all time and Jo Beth said hers was Fev.
