I’m shocked at how much I like Abbie and Jack. I also find Ash’s weird stories entertaining. I’m liking Travis more and more as the show progresses. Coming from the sport world he screamed toxic masculinity at first glance.

And the social media UPROAR is so fucking ridiculous.
I see both their points of view, but at the end of the day, Abbie wears what she wears for the attention. Dipper reacted the same way any other Dad would if their daughter wore that in front of them. I don't think Dipper was being disrespectful at all.
To suggest it wasn't a generational thing is BS. It definitely was. Men (and woman for that matter) from his generation have different opinions and tolerance compared to people of Abbie's generation. I see this when talking to my own parents.
But I completely acknowledge it highlights a very clear difference between how men and woman are perceived and judged in society.
