Thank you Declan. But I am still wary of "likes". They seem to be used as massive passive aggressive tactics. And who knew ellipses could act an instigating counter attack. I first must find my way 'round the forum and learn the nuances of this forum's thrust and parry.
Likes are so subjective and in some cases, obligatory. And it can create feelings of unworthiness if your like basket is empty.
I think a simple score out of ten for each post should replace the like system.

Yeah, I thought you might have been weirded out by my likes. I am not intending to be passive aggressive, it is just nice to see a fresh face with a fresh perspective.

Yes. I have seen Indina Menzel on Glee before.

But i also liked this:

How very apt. From rent, I totally loved "five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes..." but the chorus is way too mushy. (...that's non passive aggressive, for clarification)

No one should take my advice :) Bombay gin due to the pretty bottle. I'm researching lychee schnapps and butterscotch schnapps, so I'm still more on the cordial side.
Mine too. The best flavour. I committed a sin using it to make sloe gin. Never mind. It was worth it.

6/10.
All good Declan. I am well acquainted with people hitting the Hustings with the like button. Or even shockingly attributing a like to something they actually like. Fancy that.
I think "like" buttons are an essential woven fabric of social media now. How else can one remain so positive in these dark times?:cigar:

Yeah, but it gets stretched in here. It's only a matter of time before you get called a c***. Coming from person B, that'll be expected, EXCEPT straight-laced persons C and D will have liked it, and then it's 'Oh, it's like that, is it? I might throw some negative power like action your way, sunshine.'

Well then don't be a cunt.

I couldn't even recognise one in a lineup. Everyone loves Peter Pan, but the practical reality of a boy who never grows up is not a flying green suit in Neverland, it's a wordy smartass on an internet forum. Go brush your pony's tangled mane :p

But when you know its cliquey based it removes its own power. The Hustings trails are evident.. It will never change. Im probably speaking out of school as I have only recently resurfaced but "like" buttons or variations thereof are endemic everywhere now. I guess the theory is..."yes. a few scallywags will find ways of using it cynically and passive aggressively but all that is far outweighed by the simple smile of a spinster in dubbo who received a like for posting a photo of her goat on a Biggest Loser Forum."
But lets not dwell.

'Wordy smartass on an Internet forum'? Sounds like you are describing yourself.
