Goggle Box is to me one of those shows which sounded really cool when it launched, only for it to take me like 5 years to catch 5 minutes of it of which i thoroughly enjoyed, only for me to keep saying "i will get around to watching a season one day" only to have life get in the way all the time.
 
In some major news today, Foxtel has confirmed their decision not to renew its involvement with Gogglebox Australia for 2025.

I couldn't stand them.

They made nearly everything into talking about sex.
 
Any change in cast is good news to me. As I've said repeatedly it gets so tired from the same people all the time, and they need to be rotating some new people in every year.

I think it gone past it's used by date.

It's the same schtick from all of them. The only honest ones were Di & Mick.
 
So Channel 10 / production company have booted them? Interesting.
It also seems they've only gotten rid of just the one family? If you're entering a 'new era' then why not cut 75% of the families, if not more?
Unless they were being difficult, I just can't understand why only 1 family gets the cut.
The show needs a complete overhaul. It's been stale for a while now.
 
They don't replace families too often.

The last family to leave was Kaday & Chantal at the end of season 14 (2021).
 
No offence to The Silbery family, but they were trailer trash.

I didn't want to hear about their sex lives.
 
Well it's back. And started with MAFS yet again, FFS. But the goof news is Sarah Marie is back with Matty and Jad. And she delivered this zinger which ofc made me think of Meglos.

I'm so happy she's back, it didn't feel the same without her. I always felt that Sarah Matty and Jad were the best newbies at the time. I haven't watched gogglebox a lot post covid, but I'm going to get back into it. I haven't watched much of the three newer girls, but they're really funny. A lot better than that Chantel I think her name was? The elias family were boring and I'm not in any way shocked that the Silbery family were cut over anyone else.
 
Getting Mia and Sarah back improved/maintained their female representation while cutting costs by not taking on a new household. The three new girls do nothing for me, in fact the one on the left carries them even though she's f-ing annoying.
