Oh god this takes me back to my favourite (at the time) hairstyle where I would get a row of blonde extensions and then a row of black underneath. I thought it looked sooo good but looking back I now fear it was began-trashy-chic.
and takes me back to the time my hairdresser asked me to be a "model" for his student (aka guinea pig) and they'd put mahogany and copper highlights through my hair ... and he'd be watching them ...
uh huh

PURPLE and ORANGE ... I was back within a day to have it FIXED!!! looked horrendous and the cut was so short I hated it ...

no more nice crimmy saying oh yes I'll let you mess around with my hair - no offer of a "freebie new do" is ever going to persuade me to let any L plater put colour anywhere near my hair!

Oh yes I was vaguely interested in hair modeling (despite having crappy hair), but there are too many horror stories like this. I tried getting these lowlights once and it looked so awful I was crying all night like the vain and vapid person I am, I actually had to go back and get it fixed which is so not my style. But that was with an actual legit hairdresser that I paid for, not a free modelling gig.

Haha I do the same with pools. Today would be a great day to mooch! Don't want to start the pool mooching season too early tho :p

... If only we knew some wealthy person, say someone with vertical waterfalls?!?
Vertical waterfalls are a dime a dozen.

I know a guy with a HORIZONTAL waterfall, sure he's argumentative pain in the arse, but a swim's a swim on a hot day.

Funniest response to Waterfallgate was hands down, Coops. She said "look I may be small town minded, but isn't a horizontal waterfall a river..?"

Acquaint yourself with Pythagorus' Theorem Trala. Waterfalls have a pretty good tendency to follow the rock they are dropping onto. If you had one, you'd know. And please use 'private', when describing it.

PS nice hand-holding of Bleachy, who didn't understand your joke. Nice, subtle steering.

I am going down the coast tomorrow, but I can't afford to spend any money right now... Maybe next time.

Well the thing about placement is we were all told that it would be for this entire week, then on Monday at orientation a bomb was dropped ( a good bomb) because there were going to be so many students out on placement this week at the hospital we only had to do 2 full days, so for me it was Tuesday and Wednesday... I'm done with placement now. I've realised that I much preferred aged care, I felt like there was more to do and I was helping people who needed it, + the staff at the aged care facility were a lot more helpful... The hospital was kind of boring, the ward I was in was not busy at all... I did obs, showered patients, answered the call button, was in charge of the dirty untlity, made a billion beds and for the rest of the time could no find anything else to do, I was asking the RNs if there was anything to do and they said no and did not even really care most of the time what I was doing... I get it they are busy and sometimes don't have time for a student. I did get some positive feedback from the RN that I was paired up with today. So but basically I liked aged care so much more.

Great to hear. Aged Care is a booming industry. AIN's are the back bone in a nursing home environment. In my opinion, in a hospital environment the AIN are expected to be more task orientated ie shower/toilet. Obs, documentation and anything else are viewed as out of their scope. From a nurses point of view, day 1 students are awful when you are busy. They are great when you are quiet, but it is really hard to commit the time they need when you have a doctors round, a leaking colostomy, a vac dressing that needs changing, a patient needing a prn, 2 discharges and 2 admissions, and a patient fall to boot.

Oh and @Witty Banter this is what it looked like today.

Hello everyone. Sorry to read about your grandma @mutleyp. I hope the family is doing ok. Wow this place has changed a lot, I can't follow most of the stuff in here and the reepbot thread is like another world! I have a few days off and am going to try to catch up on some things in here. Wish me luck! I am loving @Mr Stickyfingers new thread.

Hi Willoughby

It has changed a lot! Yeah, that thread (not Stickyfingers thread) is mainly a hangout with 2 or so trolls.

Good to see you again.

I have a male co worker who prefers nights. He and I have become firm friends. We often play who would you fuck to save the world, causes immature, verbal sex offending snot dribble laughter. He likes nights because patient interaction is minimal, and he only has to put up with skeleton staff.

He said to me once "these fucking nasty bitches are starting to ruin my attraction to women".

Too funny.

It is well known night shift is the least amount of work for the most amount of money. Personally I would pay $500 not to do it.
I like nights but after about almost three months I'm a bit over them. I always have that panicky first night feeling that my almost three hour sleep isn't enough. What I really like is shift work. Nights just make it better.

Some threads on this forum has that impact on me as well, ha ha.

Pretty well, thanks! Everything is going great. How about yourself? How is everything with you? :)
I am busy, don't know any other way to be! Have to help my parents de clutter their home to sell. Very sad but has to be done. Will be checking in here for some light relief!
