If they don't like the food I just get some pizza delivered. I invite people that I want to be with, that's all. I've have really cooked up some disasters!

Pizza is top choice. Bravo. What kind of disasters have you cooked? Burnt spaghetti?
 
I know that colouring books for adults have made a splash but I found in Big W in South Yarra today, dot to dot books. A3 size and there are three categories - animals, art masterpieces and I forget the third category but Marilyn Monroe is on the cover. I bought the masterpieces one - $12. Not your usual dot to dot either. I loved dot to dot when I was a youngster and quite obviously still do and have been thinking about them a lot recently. To think I only wanted to buy some cheap earphones for the gym.

sounds like something else I need to try out - Mum has been letting me know whenever she's done some colouring ... she might enjoy Dot-to-Dot ... my colouring books are still up on shelf ... I keep meaning to bring to office to stash under my desk because its mostly at work that I have time to do it ...

These aren't the usual dot to dots. Very small numbers and in different colours. Do have a look though. I haven't done any colouring for a while now.
 
I don't know, I spend so much of my time doing kids craft which includes colouring and dot to dot, whilst I "get" it, the idea of doing even more in my spare time for fun seems grossly unappealing.

no I saw them - 1000 numbers ... Famous people, places etc ... saw there's one of Audrey Hepburn :)

they claim one can take between 30 mins to an hour to complete ... not sure I could commit to that much time in one sitting ... would have to leave a postit pointing to where I ended last ... lol

It is relaxing as it takes you back to another time and engages your brain differently but it's very annoying and frustrating too. @crimmy I wouldn't want to do one in one sitting and I leave where I've finished for that session in a spot where it's easy to see when I come back to it.
 
Can any cat lovers explain why my kitten meows and stares at the ceiling fan? She even gets on her back legs and reaches to try and touch it.

Maybe she is mesmerised by the fan? Your post made me think of a Aaahh!!! Real Monsters episode where Oblina, Ickis and Krumm are mesmerised with a lava lamp. "The lamp!"

Yes, they are fascinated by movement and source and destination.
My cats will happily watch the sliding door in the bathroom seemingly vanish into the wall and emerge again.
