I love trivia! But I've never been to a trivia night thing. How does it work?

Well we were just at the bar having a few $10 cocktails and then the guy came up to us and asked us if we wanted to play, and we decided to see how "the other people" live and try it out. The guy basically had a microphone and was asking us questions and we had to fill them out and hand it to him at the end of each round, and every two rounds he announced the tally board at the time. At one point another team of two wanted to merge groups together with us two, but that would've been gross and weird and also the prize was an $80 voucher for the bar and splitting it four ways would just suck.

I thought smart phones killed trivia nights.

You would think so, and like... some questions we decided to cheat because they were about this thing called sports and we had no idea about it, and at that point we were so far behind. But anyway, there were some questions that were visual, and there were a few audio questions as well. And there was a beer drinking competition at one stage to gain extra points. I'd say about three or four out of ten questions were straight up things you could Google the answer to.

Sounds interesting. I'm awful at geography. I have a terrible sense of direction.
It's odd but good as you have a time limit to find the right place. You click on the spot where you think the place will be and it gives you distance between your guess and the actual place. It's a bit of an education too. Depending on your accuracy and speed of finding the spot you either progress or not.

Sounds very interesting. Did they have any Tina Arena questions?

I know!

To be honest I am so new at this house buying business, I didn't even realise it was an option.

But you live and learn.

We just increased our bid by $5k, and hopefully the contract will be signed by all parties tomorrow. I tried to raise it by $2500, but no deal. And I guess given that he originally wanted $20k more we did okay. We got it for $30k under the asking price. Well now $25k under the asking price.

It is the perfect home for us, and its still a good price, just means bank needs to rejig the loan, lawyer needed to take another look and so on.

Still I guess if that's the worst thing that happens today, then it's still a good day.

That is just the usual, with 'under offer'. Well, I haven't had to wheel and deal on Real Estate lately, but if you do put an offer in, under the asking price - usually there will be a counter offer back. It is sort of like being at an auction or bartering. You fill in the forms and present your offer, they look at it - cross out your price, then put their next price - present it to you - you counter offer (like you have done) etc etc etc. until a price is agreed.

I would not have thought it would have to go to the Lawyers, until the price is fixed between both parties? Might want to make sure you are not getting overcharged on this fee, seeing there is no real contract until both parties agree on the price. Maybe google can help you with this process ;)

Very cool! Hope he does well.

It is! It is my cousins son - so I think he is my second cousin? Not sure how that works, but I am so happy for my Cousin and what she has created :) BTW I used to play soccer many many years ago - imagine if I had kept it up LOL hahahahahhahahhhhhhaaaaaa

I think he is your first cousin once removed.

Sometimes I want to cut open up my head and scoop out my thoughts and feelings. How do I stop caring? How do I stop feeling? All these emotions make me sick. I should be a cold, emotionless person with no heart and soul that knows that feelings are a waste of time. I think that would be easier.

Sounds like a really horrible way to stop thinking,
I mean for the people that might find your head opened, with the stuff scooped out. :(
How to stop caring and feeling? I suppose that question is about yourself or someone else.
If it is about someone else - there is no control over another, let go ..................
If it is about yourself - you need to direct it more, towards yourself - meditation maybe? care bear baby xxxxx

I have directed ALOT away from myself, and that is not the way to go .... especially if you don't have back up.

Love sent and hope all is OK xxxx
