So fucked!

We got the $20k down to $5k. I just don't understand why you would agree on a price, have the contract drawn up, have us get our solicitor to peruse it and advise on changes, have us sign it, then it goes to them to sign only to have them cross out the amount and write in an amount that is $20k dearer?!

I mean to go so far in the sale, only to fuck us around last minute seems like such an irritating thing to do. Now we have to wait for the new contract, have our legal peruse it, resign a new contract, wait for them to sign it, and start the whole process over again. All for $5k extra!! You can't even buy one breast implant for 5 fucking k!

I knew it was going too smoothly.

To be honest I am so new at this house buying business, I didn't even realise it was an option.

But you live and learn.

We just increased our bid by $5k, and hopefully the contract will be signed by all parties tomorrow. I tried to raise it by $2500, but no deal. And I guess given that he originally wanted $20k more we did okay. We got it for $30k under the asking price. Well now $25k under the asking price.

It is the perfect home for us, and its still a good price, just means bank needs to rejig the loan, lawyer needed to take another look and so on.

Still I guess if that's the worst thing that happens today, then it's still a good day.

What do you need to password protect anyway? Your nudes are already out there. :p
 
@mutleyp you would have to install something on the USB to do that. Most free programs are bloat ware full of crap.

Sandisk sell USB sticks that come pre installed with the necessary software to safeguard files with a password without all the bloat ware.
 
@mutleyp this is the Sandisk program. I've used it. Easy and fairly intuitive. Not sure if it works on Mac though. Not sure if it only works on Sandisk drives either.

I played trivia in a bar for the first time tonight. Me and my friend came third last (which is a miracle, let me tell you) and I developed a crush on Mike the trivia host. It was fun, and I only feel like a bit of a bogan.

They say at the beginning that phones aren't to be used. Only cheats would use them which isn't at all in the spirit of the game. In the ones I go to, that is adhered to so all is fair and good. If you can't rely on your own intelligence, capacity for retaining stuff in your head and good old general knowledge or good guessing, you don't have much left. Cheating is a somewhat hollow thing. Everyone keeps their phones on them. It's an honour thing I suppose.

There's a game which is a geography one that I must look up and it's a bit of fun. I don't think it's on facebook. I'll check google out.
