Ugh I have a seriously bad allergic reaction going on now, think elephant man. I look like I've been bashed! As a considerably vain person this is bad news, but surely no one wants to look like this? FML.

My brother wasn't found for 2 days so I totally understand how you are feeling. What got me through was knowing that he wasn't there anymore and it was just his body... the vehicle that housed him... if that makes sense. Death is so unsettling as it's so final. It brings up all the things, I shoulda, I wish, why didn't I? What you're going through is so very normal but it is an emotional process and you and your brothers will all go through it in your own way. Once the raw grief and shock has subsided, the good memories will overtake the awful feelings you are having now. Be kind to yourself and each other xXx

eek! What gave you a reaction? Can you take something for it like Polaramine? That helped when my foot blew up to like 4 x the size after a mozzie bite.

Well I had my eyebrows waxed yesterday and I do have sensitive skin so I will very occasionally get a small reaction, but never from this place and never to this extent! I have some antihistamine and some topical steroids which will hopefully reduce the swelling, my eyes are the worst! I will look into more options if it doesn't show signs of going down soon.

Are you allergic to mosquitoes??

Hi @Lucas All is well thank you. I've moved from being vicar of Chinchilla to vicar of Goondiwindi. Haven't been here quite a month yet so just settling in.

Oh that sounds nasty. Hopefully it calms down with the stuff you've already got.

I only have a slight reaction to mozzies now, just itches like crazy & swells a little. When I first came to Oz I would swell up literally 4 x after being bitten. I looked like Martin Short from Pure Luck after he was stung by a bee.

There's a large signpost as you come into Goondiwindi that claims it is Queensland's friendliest town. So far it's living up to its claim.

Haha oh dear, that photo was sooo me yesterday! Today I just look really weird but in a way it's much worse because yesterday was clearly a reaction - I think today it just looks like this is my normal face!!

Stupid allergies. At least mine is easy enough to avoid, mosquitoes not so much!

What are you allergic to? The wax that they use? Or the general irritation to the skin. I had my eyebrows waxed the other day too and there was a bit of red but luckily no actual allergic reaction. Glad you are back to normal anyway!
