Im kind of looking forward to seeing what they do, its been shopped around for awhile Channel 10 about 3 years ago said they were considering making Prisoner the next generation but it never happened, Im interested because Foxtel do do some good aussie drama, short but well done, I think 10's would of ended up like Bad Girls from the UK which had its moments. The only real issue I have with it is Prisoner is so well loved so will people like they are reinventing iconic characters, and half of the appeal of the original prisoner is it camp as HELL, so be interesting to see what they do.

How do the older folk in the Towns accept you?

Actually really well - and I'm in a rural country spot. Just the same as in the cities, there are some who still feel really strongly against female clergy. There are three people in this town who will not take communion from me - though interestingly one will take a blessing and all will come to me with their personal problems. All three of them are women themselves - I would guess their age as in their 60's. Apart from these three (average attenders in all our centres on a Sunday is about 80 -90), I have been made really welcome and well accepted.

Mutley, I agree with you. Loved the original version and wouldn't want to see it spoiled. Will be good if they can keep that old feel.

Why, what were they saying?

I've only heard it on the radio so far and they seemed pretty positive, but I flicked through the Herald Sun and (despite thir online article) I didn't see a single thing about the Finale whatsoever, which I thought odd. I even checked twice.

At the end of the day, I'm just basically happy that something like that was actually broadcasted on live TV, to millions of people and on Channel 9 no less. Was pretty awesome.

Haters are gonna hate, but oh well.

I read it on the tele site.....estelle was shown all of the nasty stuff ben said and did about her...and him saying he meant every bit of it, and she should get over her thinking herself a vitim. He knew she was crying but kept on going ...and of course layla rolling her eyes and agreeing.
I am very sad to see ben being viperish, and downright nasty. why did he have to show himself up as a bitch ?? and a rightous one at that.
I have no respect for anyone who does this to others in a public forum. It made Ben look vile, not his trying to bring estelle down.
I see it as the people who have problems with those who are not hetrosexual, being given a reason to think they were right....that he is just what they thought most gay males are.....and that disappoints me enormously.
He has, I feel , set the unconditional acceptance for same gender relationships and acceptance back at least 10 years. People will forever hold him up as the one who proved they were right. Not like the homosexual friends I have who are friends and not a sexual orientation.

Michael says that ben is now famous for being part of a same sex couple...eww again at the sex word....but I figure it is more infamous atm, and he has fullfilled the sterotype that is out in the public thought.

To say I am cross is an understatement.

TIM GUNN would be the shining example for me of a gentleman who prefers males.

That is brilliant..
Are you allowed to give communion to gay people and non Anglicans are you like the Catholics in that respect?

I do feel for you.
Being old and female and having lived through the women cannot stuff for a million years I learnt to become very assertive...some thought it bossy etc.......it fucking well pisses me off to see some stuff go backwards......

We have to kidnap ray for him
And
Do you know how awesome it is to be surrounded by prisoner fans. No one I know understands

Ohhhhhhhhh farrkkkkkkkkkkk....another show I never watched the first time around.

It is my attitude towards so many things for my entire life...........I never ever watched soapies...the early obvious ones :(

While we're out kidnapping, can we pick Michael up? I've vowed to go all Zoe on him, even though he doesn't have the 250k.

Sorceress, I used to have Axolotls and I'd keep them in the fridge while I cleaned the tank. Always made for interesting conversation if family dropped in and happened to look in the fridge.

So good to see ma Ray Appreciation Thread getting some much needed attention, even after the series. ;)

Yum...

I am allowed - and do - give communion to any baptised adult or any baptised child who has had some preparation and so has some understanding of what communion is. So, of course, that includes gays and non-Anglicans. Catholics still do not share their table with other denominations. Officially, they would not give me communion and would not accept communion from me. But there are a number of renegade Catholic Priests out there :).

We are celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the first women's ordinations in Brisbane this year. Many of those first women did have to be very, very assertive. I am very grateful for them paving the way for us. Now there are all sorts of personality types. even some gentle, meek and mild ladies - but you still can't be thin skinned.

Please tell us you will pop your head in at least once a week.
At least be here on the 25th for theos 21st.

Thanks for that Chicken Legs!

I will do.

I thought everyone picked up their toys and went back to their own yards at the end of the season, but it would seem the place stays open.

Bahahaha, you two will have a run in one day and I'll enjoy the argument.

I hope so!

It is usually through a good healthy debate that I find everything I believe to be 100% true and correct, isn't in fact 100% true or correct at all.

However, I do not have the stamina or the attention span needed to fight inanely for hours, days, weeks or months on end over the fact “I hate your favourite housemate because they are evil and I will stop at NOTHING to prove that to you….” or “my housemate is the best housemate ever and I will stop at NOTHING to prove that to you….” . So is she wants to fight housemates, I will have to refer that on to you Sorcy, Ha!

So did I, I became quite concerned about what I would do with my life once BB ended.

Hah, saddest statement ever.

I have those! Two!
But I freeze 2 L bottles and put them in, I love them! Haha.
