It's funny with the dress debate that some people think that the fact that the dress is black and blue in real life makes a difference to the image taken of it. Cameras limit the entire colour spectrum to 3 peak sensitivities and sensors differ widely. Any colour not at the peak sensitivity is a fudge. White is a fudge. The photo actually has several telltale signs for infrared sensitivity. That is just taking the photo, displaying the image is also a fudge, producing yellow by mixing red and green etc

If you wanted to quickly make a similar photo, just blend a normal photo with an IR filtered version. Lookup google images for 'infrared filter' for colour confusion. It is generally the limitation of the sensor causing colours rather than reality.

Speaking of weird thoughts when young. I thought everytime I saw an old pre 1960's black and white photo that the entire world back then was black and white and that there were no such things as colours, and it wasn't until the 1960's and 70's that colour was invented which meant that the entire world stopped being black and white and started being colourful.

So did I haha! My grandparents still still give me hell about it now as an adult. Every time I see them they throw in a joke about how back in their day they lived in black and white and there was no colour :hilarious:

Another weird thing: I don't think I've ever had a dream in colour. The ones I can remember at least have all been in black and white.

As far as I know I've never dreamed in anything other than colour.[DOUBLEPOST=1425072884][/DOUBLEPOST]
Far out, I had nightmares about that bloody dress last night.
Dreadful frock it is too.

Do you want me to take you?

Ha!

I am nearly stair worthy in my recovery!

One of the houses has a pool! Would be great if in fact wanted a pool...

Just make sure before anything is signed that you get a pest inspection and a builder/plumber to give it the once over too. Cos you've got the salty sea breeze doing things to stuff you can't see. Hope you find a great place in a quiet location :) ( yes, I am such a nanna! :p)

Ok when I was younger I would actually worry that I had the colour spectrum all wrong, how do I know that my blue is the same as everyone else's blue? Maybe my concern was founded all along...

Of course. But what if what I see as blue you see as pink? How would anyone ever be able to confirm this?!

Not at all. I know that I stop at red, but maybe my definition of red is incorrect, but we all recognise our perception of it as red... you know?

Anyway, it's just a silly throwaway theory, this isn't a true concern of mine. But after this debacle I don't know what to believe anymore!

Oh my goodness I have had this very same concern and debate with my mates many times. They always try to dismiss me - but it seriously concerns me. Haha.

Oh, by the way, if we saw #TheDress in person would it make a difference?

Apparently yes as it's an overexposed photo of a blue and black dress. I've not once seen it as blue and black though.

Neither have I. I originally saw it as white and gold but as I watched it slowly changed to a very pale blueish purple and olivey gold. Never saw the black and blue at all until three photos were shown together.
