She's too good of a negotiator to talk calmly lol not only will she have the day off, she'd get taken out for lunch and stuff bought for her. I'm a sucker if I don't take an ultra hard line

Ha, that reminds me of the couple of times I got suspended. Both times I got McDonald's for lunch and new things for my computer, aha. :angelic:

Hello peeps!

Highlight of my day, I found my perfect little dog wandering the streets! Lowlight of my day, a quick trip to the vet revealed he was microchipped and I therefore lost my perfect little dog, and he was returned to his grateful owner.

Billy is destined to remain an only child :(

Awww. Glad the little doggy found his home tho.

Has everyone had their work Christmas parties yet? I had mine last week and so many people had way too much to drink ;)
My hospital had a spit roast lunch in our courtyard yesterday. No alcohol as it was on the premises. I did get a free feed of beef, pork and lamb with the best Caesar salad. The crunchy, burnt bits had my name on them. Salads, soft drink, frozen yogurt, various entertainers. The boss and I knicked out and got our food then sent others out. It was catered for by the café people on the premises.

Yum! I love the crunchy parts too. Sounds like a good feed :).

We went to an Italian restaurant and our boss gave everyone way too much wine.

It's always a good feed and it's free. Several hundred staff go over the course of their various lunchbreaks. No real Coke though, only zero and diet. What the...

awww I want a rescue dog for my baby - I have a 3 year old German Shepherd, that thinks she is human - it is OK to blame me for that LOL
Little dogs want to bite my girl, I am not sure why - She has a Cat at her home to harass, and she does, but the CAT is the bigger bully ....... I am glad you took the pup to the vet and got scanned - I am sure that the owners would have been real upset for their baby to be on the loose in this big wild world......

My girl found a Pug in the park a few months ago ....... She ran up to it, and just laid next to it ...... it was like she knew it was lost.

Anyway, the Pug had a tag and a number and we tried calling for hours ....... left messages etc ..... No response ........ Long story short - after like over 10 calls to the Owner I finally got through to them and they were like oh yeah ...... the dog ran away, and we looked for a bit and didn't find her.... this is our address .............

OMG - I would have come running to find my lost girl - but NO - these people thought it was up to us to return the pup.

WE did - But, next time if my Girl finds a lost dog (soul) I will take it into her caring :)

My Billy is a rescue dog. Funny story my partner and I decided to adopt, so we contacted our local refuge. One of the workers sent us to a home address of a person who had just saved a gaggle of barkers.

While we didn't exactly know what we wanted, we knew what we didn't want. We didn't want a male dog or a white fluffy yapper. So we pull up at this address, looked at the dogs, the one we wanted was promised to someone else and sadly we didn't feel any instant connection with the others. As we were leaving the woman says "I am over council quota with the dogs, could you please foster one of these on a temporary basis until we can find you your dog".

I thought it was a fair request, so we picked the most skinny and pathetic looking one who happened to be exactly what we didn't want, male, white and fluffy. and gave our details, and off we went.

Within 6 hours we were in LOVE! The funny thing, she contacted me to say the original dog we wanted "didn't work out, so pop over and we can swap them...". How's about NO!!!!!

I wonder exactly how many dogs they place using this trick.

We were told that Billy was probably 2 at adoption but my vet felt he was around 4, and 4 years on we continue to absolutely adore him.

No one is ever as happy to see me as Billy is. Even if we have only been apart for an hour. I just love him!

I love hearing you talk about Billy :) Makes me want a little fluffy dog. We've got a blue heeler that thinks he's small, and being 30kgs he ain't!
