General O/T Chit Chat Thread

I have a silent number (due to calls at 3am from hubs customers WTF) and friends and family will ring and say "did you just call? I had a missed call from a blocked number" grr I have it set in the phone book in my handset to dial the code which reveals my no to most if them.

How's this for bloody cheeky right? Last Friday I was at work, four people lined up I was BUSY and my phone started ringing. I just ignored it right, at work busy. Patrons were looking at me like aren't you gonna answer that. After I dealt with them I checked my phone and it was a 02 number so I googled it, comminsure. Pfft. I'm fucking sick of them right. Mentioned to hubs, they've been ringing him every day while he's at work, he just lets it go to voice mail.

So I rang CBA and told them I don't want the calls about life insurance anymore. I find the offer of life insurance incredibly offensive. Don't do it again so the nice guy ticked boxes on mine and hubs file to not receive any promotional material from CBA ever again.

Wednesday I get a call from some rep blah blah I heard the word comminsure. I said "hang on, who are you working for?" she said comminsure. I said "You AREN'T supposed to be ringing me!" she's like "why?" I said comminsure are NOT allowed to ring me! She said "I'm not from comminsure I'm ringing from Asomthingorother on behalf of comminsure" WTF The also tried to ring hubs at work again this week.

I heard on the radio the other day one of the airlines is getting a 100k fine for not removing people from their emailing list when they've clicked unsubscribe. I'm in right fucking mind to report the CBA for doing the bloody same. I've requested they don't call and then the woman who does speaks to me as if she does have a right to call me. She was quite bloody rude about it. She did no like being told she wasn't allowed to ring me.

I say do it, nothing shits me more, especially when you say "No thanks" and they keep going in a pushy manner. I know its a hard job and trying to get KPI's but if you calling a person on their private phone and they say no, thats it, stop bothering them.

I refuse to answer private calls period, I have told everyone I know this, if they want to leave a message I will call them back but if I dont know the number then Im not answering.
 
Implement and monitor infection control policy and procedures assessment booklet - complete yourself, dammit!

I have seriously procrastinated all that time!

I haven't even opened the book yet, I just keep finding things to do.

"I should have a look on ebay, first..."

"Best check my facebook, first..."

Better recheck BBB forums, first..."

"Oh I must drawsomething, first..."

"Oooops, better play Songpop, first..."

Then I go back to ebay and do it all again.

I wish they had an arcade in here. Not that I am any good at playing games, mind, but they can be a welcome distraction. I do love that penguin slapper game.

So I was watching telly with the kids last night & saw an ad for this game. WTF??? We have a real dog & i'd hate to think Mr 3 thought it would be fun to play this game with his dog!:eek: Why? just why?:confused:

Surely this is all lies???? I have a 6yr old who has heavily invested herself to be Mrs Beiber one day. She made me look up on the netz for her last night to check & make sure one direction haven't broken up cos all the kids at school were saying that. She was nearly in tears!

Love I think he is playing with it because its a car, not because it is pink, and why does your kid already know to say I am not gay... weird

Funnily enough after the 4th call I picked up and it was the commonwealth bank!
 
Register your numbers on the do not call register. You can put mobiles & fax numbers on it now, but I think you have to re-register every few years. I did ours & the calls stop almost overnight. But charities/govt can still call & people that you have dealt with before.

Yeah mine is, but because they are my bank they said something about it doesnt apply to them? I just said "Dont call again or I will change banks and close all accounts I have with you", I dont even know why they were calling :P I didnt let them get that far!
 
How funny are the Estelle fans and the Estelle Anti Fans?

There is a cluster of them who just argue back and forth for hours on end, it is quite hilarious.

I have never understood why people argue over someone they don't even know.
