I appreciate the attempt at transparent pricing but I feel almost incapable of reading that entire thing.

I have been charged $45 for a child’s haircut at just cuts and I have paid stupid prices for my own hair, like $400+. Hard no to both these days.

I feel they could simplify it a lot tbh. Five different prices for blow dry?
Biggest issue I have with that is who determines what’s short, med, long, extra long ect. Otherwise I do recognize that pricing in that industry should reflect the amount of work that goes in to the service.

Point is the blow dry prices could be reduced to short/med/long instead of five. And other treatment prices could also be streamlined. Group some together, etc.

Yeah, they could lose the mediums!
Some long are extra long and thick, so that definitely warrants an extra charge. Long and fine, can't be put in that category. I judge it on time spent doing it, in the drying sector. Some short ones can be done in 5 minuets, some short thicker hair can take half an hour.

Just going to post this here. Ignore the green outlines, it's from FB, someone commenting about the rage of "women's" treatments compared to boys'/men's. Anyway some comments were like "As a stylist who's owned and/or managed several salons.. what the f is this menu. This is insane, they need a better pricing system." Pic taken in Western Sydney.

What do you think, @February?

What if you are gender non conforming - what pricing do you go with? What if you are a male with really long hair - is it still the standard male price? Pricing this complicated and inconsistent is one of the many reasons I now cut my own hair - I got so sick of never knowing how much I was going to be charged on the day to get the same thing done.
