Frocks, Frolics and Fotos

Lysandra and Alicia - one is apparently getting married and made the other buy her bridesmaid dress at the year 12 formal op shop (from down the back of the shop in the budget section)

Emma - apparently just turned up in her lingerie and nightie. Maybe she thought the logies were a sleepover?

Wow, this is the first place I have seen a photo of Melissa Hoyer.

Isn't she supposed to be a fashion journalist? Wow, how embarrassing... just awful.

Where???Your not confusing Angela Bishop with Hoyer are you - that is her in the hideous blue sequins (no neck angela)

They all look horrible except Tim who looks sexy and smooth, Claudia elegant and lovely.
That packed to the Rafters/Love Child lady looks so stiff, I detest the neck bit, it is an engineering feat that looks great on her knockout figure, but so uncomfortable looking.

Those Housewives are supposed to have money to burn, yet their clothes looks cheap and ill fitting, except jackie & gina they both at least fit, but blergh.
Chyka always looks good. Dimwith Lydia tries soooooooooo hard to be edgey and architectural and like Lara Bingle cannot pull that look off never gets it right.
Janet is the worst bit of old mutton channeling sugarsisters.com
Why is Andrea out of her uniform of very tight beige lace?

I also detest the fashion for grecian urn/tattoo dresses, surely that is over?

...while flipping around on the Internet I happened upon this dress... from an old farts point of view... I like it... I couldn't imagine my sweet darling wife wearing it but I like it... I guess I'm showing my feminine side at the moment but I love to see women in floral dresses too... I think that any lady wearing things with flowers on makes them look so sweet... um... ahem!... back to me being a tough macho he-man type of blokey bloke... here is the dress...

...just out of curiosity... would any of you sweet ladies wear it?... or is it a 'no way in the world' type of thing?... as I said... just curious... cheers.

That looks to me more of a butterfly design than a floral print. :)

...yeah you're right of course bleachy... I should've said...that I also like women wearing floral dresses... I like that butterfly wing dress too though... (sorry... I had a couple (or few) late night rums and was slightly pissed when I wrote it last night)... lol!... that probably explains my letting my feminine side have a say eh?... still... there's nothing stopping a guy saying nice things about the ladies at any time I guess... they all deserve nice compliments at all times in my eyes... I just don't think that they get told often enough... (oh God... toughen the hell up Sticky... you know that men aren't supposed to express their feelings!)... um... I'll shut up now... lol!... cheers.

Haha. Don't change sticky! I love you the way you are.
I think it's totally acceptable for us men to compliment women all the time :):)

There is no such thing as too much flattery, guys!

Sticky, I think that dress would be lovely on a Disney princess but it's not something I would wear. I go for simpler stuff. But it is a lovely bit of froth and fantasy.

aaacostume_01 (1).jpg @stickyfingers, I love that you post here, and that you posted a frock - hideous, but still

Would you go out wearing this? Or that outfit above???
Jiminy_Cricket_HKDL.jpg

Or this???

Or this?

As above - bug outfit
(posting pics from computer is weird in this new forum set up)

@stickyfingers - that dress is scary, not exactly what you want to impress upon people you meet

1. you would feel like a caterpillar, the fabric is hideous, nobody wants to look/feel like a bug

2. is this a photo from the 80s, forget the hideous fabric for a minute, the structural design is 80s prom/taffeta meringue...
dropped waists with big flounces flatter nobody

3. it is very poorly made, executed

4. would you wear a suit designed to look like a cricket/cockroach/caterpillar?

5. wings have no place around your waist, if you want wings stick them somewhere on the arms/shoulders, this looks like welcome to the butterflies human feast.

Beats me why people even like butterflies, just moths with less dusty stuff, they are everywhere on everything from furnishings to necklaces.

Oh and that bit of crap around the neckline - just confirms this is a student project.
Cheers - you did ask

Ha! Brutal but honest.

We still love ya @Mr Stickyfingers but that dress is indeed hideous! Also the models hair reminds me of the Whos from the Grinch.

Looks much better in motion...

And this version, lifted to the waist and remove the vile neckfluff

Refined versions - are somewhat better.
Fascinating that this dress got her started in dress designing, changing her career path from graphic designer to couture - still don't like anything she - luly yang - makes though.

Her clothes make me feel like this...

...hahahahaha!... this is an obvious case of 'men are from Mars and women are from Venus' type of thing isn't it?... **Sticky cancels his online purchase of the dress that he was buying for his sweet darling wife** ... last night when I was looking for stuff on the Internet (I had consumed a few nice rums... not that that's an excuse of course)... and stumbled upon it and saw that the dress was in a shop window I thought that it must have been up for sale to regular shoppers... hence my falling into the trap of bad taste lol!... (I do have bad taste in all women's attire... that's the reason that my wife NEVER allows me to go shopping with her lol!)...

...this line here...

Beats me why people even like butterflies, just moths with less dusty stuff, they are everywhere on everything from furnishings to necklaces.

...hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!... funny as!...

...well ladies... thanks for the honest opinions... it's a proper lesson to me in the fact you ladies definitely know your stuff when it comes to good taste...

Jiminy_Cricket_HKDL.jpg

...I dunno... I'd look pretty smecky in that outfit... I can just imagine my mates at the pub complimenting me as I walked in wearing it... (I think it's the shoes)... um... perhaps not eh kxk?... lol!...

...as always... it's a learning curve to me every time that I come into this thread... but I am prepared to continue coming in here to learn lol!... I love it when you ladies firmly but also politely decide to steer me back into the right direction when I don't 'get it'... thank you for that...

There is no such thing as too much flattery, guys!

...amen to that Jam... amen to that!.... cheers.

Men's tails are rather cricket/grasshopperish styling.

I adore men's evening wear for ME. Tails I got as a teen. The jacket anyway.

But it was my tux jackets I was truly in love with before I could afford well tailored women's jackets and suits.
Tux, white T, and jeans, addidas white leather sneakers - was my uniform for a few years.
Best thing being no need for a handbag/purse - so many pockets, and hidden pockets

And man jackets, are so sneaky - hidden secrets hide a lot of male physical issues.

@stickyfingers hope I didn't offend, but I'm brutally honest about fashion, and I consider it all fluff and a laugh - and it's never intended as an insult to the poster, you didn't create that thing:)
Fashion should first and foremost be fun.

My favourite website -
gofugyourself.com
Is an insight into females and fashion & such a laugh
These New York ladies rip into public clothing - in the most delightful way.

Your wife must be beautiful, the idea of wrapping her in butterfly wings is so romantically gorgeous of you - regardless of that design and my comments:)

...oh god... by no means did you offend me kxk... I've got to know most of you ladies on here by now and understand how a few of you feel about different subjects and topics... that is why I do come onto this thread... I know how passionate you all are on here lol!...

...I know that this thread is basically a 'ladies' thread but I love to read what you ladies say and how you think... my dear departed dad always brought me up to have the utmost respect for women in general and respect your opinions and to always treat you all like godesses... to which I always try to do each day... my darling wife could vouch for me on that trait I can guarantee you...

...I do feel comfortable enough to freely participate in a 'ladies' thread for that very reason... some of the things that you all write about gives me a newer insight as to how you ladies tick each day... just when I think that I've got you all pegged out you all turn into a totally different direction and then I have to start from scratch again lol!... you ladies most certainly are a fascinating group that's for sure lol!...

...so no... you definitely did not offend me... if anything... I do appreciate you being honest enough to tell me how you feel... lol!... you don't always get that on websites nowadays... cheers.
