To be more accurate - most men are either totally or partially colour blind.
Those that can see ANY colours would likely bunch the whole 1st half as red or orange, and the lower section is all green to them.

They simply aren't as finally tuned.

There are degrees of colour blindness, so whats'that 8% about, chronic disease???

I think you will find there are studies showing most men find it extremeley difficult to tell the difference between subtle shades of blue/green/khaki/grey - they are not legally necessarily fully colour blind, ie in so far as they are allowed to get a boat license and can tell the difference between red and green.

Most males suffering from some form of mld colour blindness never know it other than arguing with their girfriends about the dubious dress sense:)
 
I'd have to agree with mutleyP most men are not colour blind google away and you'll find it's about 7/8% of the male population and about .4% of females.
 
I can certainly see the whole spectrum of colours in that chart, and I don't think it's that uncommon.
I don't think any man would go "Ooh look at the delightful shade of gillyflower on your hat", and frankly I doubt many women would either, "pink" would be fine.

Common now Meglos, I do believe you are the perfect shade of "Limon" or would you go with "Avocado"
 
...the colour 'baby' gets me laughing... seriously... 'baby'?... who are they kidding?... what baby is that colour?... unless we're not looking at it in the right context... I suppose if a couple were having sex and one was slapping the other one's arse during the act and the other was shouting out... "Oooooh baby!... keep going baby!"... then perhaps the cheek may turn that colour after so many slaps?... hence the name of the colour?... just a theory... I could be wrong... cheers.

Me too! Although I do say a pastel pink or a fuschia, some of those names I have never heard of, and Im disappointed Forrest doesnt feature on the green spectrum!!

Yes thats for the most tested form red/green, the stats for that are 8%, but there are more types of colour blindness, and colour
deficincies that are less noticeable.

People only care about the types that stop you getting licenses - driving/boats/planes.
From my time spent in fishing villages - quite a lot can't pass the test for boats but can drive cars - those lights are just sequences, boats it's different.

Seeing no colours would be very rare wouldn't it?

And so many males I mix with can't tell khaki from green.
 
I've always wondered what that tattoo on his chest was, cause you can always see just a little bit peaking out of his shirt!
