....I never did like 'Prince / No Name Brand / Question Mark / Jamie Starr / Christopher / Alexander Nevermind / Joey Coco / Prince / love symbol / The Artist Formerly Known As Knobjockey / The Bullshit Artist' or whatever other pretentious name he had... he had a couple of hits and became the biggest male diva on the planet because he believed in his own publicity that created such a massive ego... other than that he was alright I guess... (just my opinion of course)... didn't he fade away to nothing?... I bet he's using his original name of Prince if he's trying to relaunch his career again though... cheers.

Sacrilege.

Prince reigns, he remains Prince royally so - and allways will. The sign was the same thing as George Michael, bastard record companies stealing from them.

Anyway - he is not relaunching anything, last album was pretty good so was the tour - I didn't get to but my friend did, (someone died unfortunately).

And he's no diva he's lovely. My friend has met him couple times just by being in his fanclub. He's quite shy and introverted.

And most importantly - he has written 100s of wonderful songs, performed by others and your unlikely to know he wrote it.
For example Sinaed O'Connor, remember that beautiful song and the tear Nothing Compare to You, guess who wrote that one???

Hell I was going to list all his 20+ albums, awards/films/other stuff - but there is just too much.

I'm sorry for spurting so much, but honestly you have shocked me.
He's in the rockhall of fame, he has academy awards, many, many Grammies etc, has sold over 100million records. Wrote the magnificent Purple Rain album, plus Evie Corvette, Raspberry Beret..................and all the rest.

And in case you can't tell - I love Prince and his dancing tiny feet. Oh and by the way, he lost a baby, a wife and became a Jehovah witness(spelling?), and does the doorknocks.
 
I'm with you Mr Stickyfingers!! I've always hated Prince! And I'm a big fan of most 80's! He makes my skin crawl.
 
But all that awesome dancing...........and with high heels!

Do none of you really like any of the music, Evie Corvette, god I love that song - and some of the stuff on Purple Rain is beautiful, there is a breakup song that haunts me.
And did you hate Sinead singing him or the Bangles and all the rest ?
 
I liked the Bangles. Sinead.. meh (although I like the song more now than I did at the time). I probably like other songs he's written for other artists if I knew what they were lol.

I just didn't like any of the ones he sung himself.... and he creeps me out.

Nope. Not into him at all. I was into lots of different types of music but his just didn't appeal to me. Someone gave me Purple Rain once as a gift. I played it once and ended up giving it away.
 
I never got Prince as a singing star....not enough SEX appeal for me I'm afraid.

I always choose my artists by my hormones......so reliable :D
