Estelle appreacian thread (i can't spell)

I agree. I think he was just interested to hear Angie's opinion. He wasn't having a go at Estelle at all.

You may be right, but he said Estelle said... Do you trust your...., but it was Sam that asked Estelle.
Out of all the people, Angie is the one to make a big deal about it to the other housemates.
I hope Sam isn't trying to cause trouble between the two girls.

Of course he is causing trouble. If you guys actually believe Sam to be "genuine" then I have some oceanfront property in Cooper Pedy to sell you. He is THE most disingenuous person there. The fact some people want someone as INTENTIONALLY bland, lifeless and personality-less as Sam to be in the final two - like we haven't had enough potplant male BBAU winners as it is - is just sad.

i think it was estelle asked sam the question. actually it was BB asking estelle if she trusted HMs during last night's DR visit, so when she got out, she caught up with sam and repeated the conversation, then sam offered that he didnt trust them.

today sam threw the same question at angie, but he didnt get the answer he was hoping for, so the alliance is not going ahead.

I thought he was treating Estelle with respect, I did get sucked in.... Where did you say you had some oceanfront property for sale?

Found it about Sam lying.

Talk with Estelle

Estelle moves from the Kitchen to the Bedroom where she finds Sam and discusses her last hour or so of conversation.

“I don’t trust my Housemates” Sam offers to her.

You know you can trust me” she responds, Sam explaining that he’s simply aware that certain groups talk and gossip a lot.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if Ben says something to Michael now” he adds, reflecting on Estelle having just left the Kitchen.

Today with Angie

Sam discusses with Angie a topic Estelle brought to his attention yesterday.

“She came in and she goes, ‘do you trust your fellow housemates?’” says Sam as the pair sit in the Kitchen. “What would you say to this?” he asks.

Angie tells Sam she trusts her HMs as much as she can ‘in this environment’. “It’s their way of justifying their reasons to Nominate,” she says of HMs talking behind each other’s back.

Angie reasons you just need to assess things before opening up to people. “I know it’s risky talking to Ben but he does give good advice,” she says.

“I get a lot from Michael but I know he wants to be here,” Angie believes Michael may act up for the cameras at times. “Estelle does it too.”

“I don’t know if I see differently to you guys,” Sam muses he doesn’t bitch behind people’s backs. “I do trust Estelle and I do like Estelle. There’s nothing I would say behind her back that I wouldn’t tell her.”

no, kaz, this is the one i was referring to. you can see that question was from BB to estelle. they chatted for almost an hour, then estelle went to discuss her chat with BB with sam. so i believe it was estelle asked sam for his opinion.

Estelle talking to BB

With Estelle having headed off for a chat with Big Brother in the Diary Room, Benjamin has taken the opportunity to vent some of his frustrations in the House, the main one being Estelle, and Michael is happy to join in.

“Estelle is the fakest human I have ever met in my entire life” Michael declares, before continuing, “She is incapable of holding an adult conversation.”

Meanwhile, BB is quizzing Estelle on how she feels about trusting her other HMs and if she thinks she might be grating on them.

“It’s not for me to worry about, it’s their problem” she offers matter of factly.

This is the rest of the conversation that I got from the live updates:

Seems like Sam didn't get the correct answer from Angie.

Seems like Angie knows what they are all like, so Sam added

I don’t know if I see differently to you guys,” Sam muses he doesn’t bitch behind people’s backs. “I do trust Estelle and I do like Estelle. There’s nothing I would say behind her back that I wouldn’t tell her.”

But Sam, you do bitch about people behind their backs & you haven't told them.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if Ben says something to Michael now” he adds, reflecting on Estelle having just left the Kitchen.

I don't know if I would count that comment of Sam's as bitching...

Ah ha.... I found what I was looking for.
This is day 67, titled........ "It's a matter if trust" - Live Update
When Sam speaks to Angie about the trusting of housemates, Sam claims that Estelle asked him but from this update it is Sam saying to Estelle...... he doesn't trust his housemates.

Is this current edit done to make Estelle look bad, or is it so she gains the sympathy votes? What are the producers intentions whenever they show clips of Estelle getting backstabbed?

I don't think the HMs say anything pleasant behind Estelle's back. I reckon the producers have nothing else to work with.
Just shows the true colors of the other HMs.

This episode annoyed me, still bitching about Estelle?

Going to send in more votes than I planned to just to (hopefully) annoy the whinging whining sooks.

I think tonight's episode painted Estelle in a very positive light, whereas it showed us more of the side of Ben and Michael's personality that is not so nice. To me it was just more proof that Estelle is simply a nice girl who is being targeted unfairly by a bunch of elitist gossips with nothing better to do. Whether that was the intent of the producers or not, it doesn't really matter; This is how most people seem to have reacted to it. It was a good episode for Layla too, I think.

I think it isn't so much about sympathy votes anymore; there is definitely an element of that still there, but there is also now this element of actively wanting to spite the elitist group (e.g "What makes them think they deserve to be in the house over others? Who are they to try and dictate the outcome of this game? I'll show them by saving the person they think should be kicked out. Wouldn't that be a slap in the face for them?" etc) as well as another element of people wanting to vote people like Estelle because they see it as a reward for being a good person (e.g "Well these people sure are being nasty, I sure wouldn't want them to win the prize because they would see it as justification for their behaviour - but this person sure is nice so I will reward them by voting to save them.")

20:38: Benjamin speaks to Estelle in private and tries to iron out a few problems some HM’s have been having with her, including himself
